Not sure if it’s water proof but the color is beautiful 2 coats was all I needed

I would think so - it paints beautifully over previously stained furniture. Silky smooth finish. you could test it in an area. Best furniture paint ever in my opinion.

To you have to strip or sand down to bare wood to paint kitchen cabinets?
