Decent shaving kit...
This is a decent starter / demo shaving kit. If you're into classic shaving or have the genetics to warrant this as a want or need, maybe this is for you. It kinda reminds me of what a super-luxe 5+ star hotel might have for you in your luxury suite and you can afford to travel light. The bag is certainly large enough to contain normal sized lotions/soaps/creams. The stand is nice. I know my brushes from various trades and this is certainly not a natural hair brush. All in all it's a kit that contains what's described and for the price you'd have to consider the percentage of overall usefulness over value, cost & quality.

Low quality overall
This is a good thought, but the quality of everything in here is pretty bad. The bag itself is fine, but the razor and blades are basically not usable.

Cool retro design and style if you are into that
This is a cool looking retro style design and style razor set that reminds me of what my dad used to use. The actual razor and blades are more like most disposable style razors in the market. The razors are sharp and the rest of the set looks very cool on the bathroom counter. Cool to have also at a barber’s shop display.

Great Value for a Complete Shaving Set
This kit has everything needed for a classic wet shave—razor, brush, soap, oil, and even a stand. The sandalwood scent is rich without being overpowering, and the razor gives a smooth shave. The brush is decent, though not the highest quality. For the price, it's a great starter set or gift.

Cheaply made and not worth it
This would make the most embarrassing gift. Cheesy all the way. I actually laughed when I opened this and saw how cheaply made each component was in this kit. Avoid.

Cheaply-made kit
Short version: this is a junky kit and I do not recommend it. You will want to immediately replace almost every item in the kit, except the stand and possibly the pre-shave oil, to have a good wet shaving experience.--I'm no stranger to traditional wet shaving and I have tried literally dozens of different soaps, brushes, and razors over the years. Unfortunately, but perhaps not surprisingly, the items in this kit are cheaply made and of poor quality.Really the only thing I like about the kit is the stand. It's got a heavy weight and looks good on the counter. The included brush and razor both fit on it with no problems which is a basic requirement that some of these kind of kits manage to get wrong. The brush feels very light in the hand and has a very small, thin knot. I would ALMOST be okay with this as a travel brush but it sheds hairs (actually synthetic fibers) very easily. Synthetic brushes should not shed the same way that natural hair brushes do, and especially not multiple hairs per shave. I will not be keeping this brush or using it long term. The little bar of soap is serviceable, but still poor quality. It doesn't form a rich, creamy, stable lather like real shaving soaps do and it also leaves my skin feeling quite dry. There is hardly any fragrance to speak of. It will do the job of providing some lubrication for the shave, but the lather dissipates quickly once applied so I had to re-apply it during the shave. Not the biggest deal but still annoying. I won't keep using this as a shave soap, but will probably keep it as a hand soap to use it up.As for the post shave balm, I laughed when I saw it. This thing is TINY at only 10g in weight. It's like a sample size. Also, the ingredients are strange for a post-shave balm. It has a somewhat waxy texture and doesn't absorb easily, but rather sits and leaves an oily sheen on the skin. I already have an oily complexion so this stuff isn't going anywhere near my face but I did test it out on my hands. It has a hint of fragrance but hardly any at all. Per the microscopic instructions on the tin, it's actually be intended to use for grooming a beard/mustache but they do say you can apply directly to the skin as well.I do not normally use pre-shave oil so I am not well qualified to comment on that. I don't like the feeling of having anything very oily on my face, so I will not be using it.As for the razor, it is a cheap generic Vector clone and the blades do shave but aren't great. Shaving with it was fairly uncomfortable as I could feel the plastic unclogging mechanism scraping against my face while shaving. The result of the shave was passable but not very close. You do get a (flimsy) case to hold the razor and spare blades which is a nice little bonus if you intend to travel with it.My hair is too short to use the included comb and I do not grow a long beard, so I use that to comb my cat. He likes it well enough. It's a super basic wood comb so there isn't really much to say about it other than "it's there."Finally, the case is about the same quality as the ones you get as a freebie with many name-brand holiday grooming kits. It has a thin canvas construction with a plastic lining and no real structure of its own (the manufacturers included cardboard packing to make it stand up). It is serviceable, but I could see it wearing out very quickly if used for travel. In all honesty, I do not recommend this kit to anyone. Brand-new wet shavers would probably be turned off by the experience of using these products and seasoned shavers will immediately tell that almost everything included is cheap junk. I would recommend skipping this and spending a bit more on higher quality kit, or even better, putting your own kit together by selecting individual high quality products.
