Author’s actual life experiences have been so very well woven into the narrative to make it an interesting read. Having spent my childhood in the remote hills, I could actually draw parallels with some of these tales. Looking forward to read more of such tales in times ahead. Thoroughly enjoyed reading the stories in this slim volume. The tales are engaging not only for the thrill and the excitement but also for the simple, concise and flowing narration which is the hallmark of great writers like R.K. Narayan and Earnest Hemingway. There is an element of pristineness in the stories like the refreshing smell of the forest air. Reading these stories is also like a trip to the charming old world. I am sure many readers who have spent their childhood in rural setting would relate to Avinash. This is a perfect book for those who are fond of reading, those who wish to return to reading and those who want to take up reading as a hobby!

I have read the book written by Sri MA Ganapathy narrating super natural experiences of Avinash the chief protagonist in the stories in this book .Avinash is a dedicated Cop who in the course of discharging his duties experienced hair raising and bone chilling para normal experiences which are scary and make the readers look over their shoulders in fear !!! The story of a village barber’s spirit accompanying Avinash on a lonely walk in the night to the village is truly unnerving. Sri Ganapathy is an avid fan of legendary Kenneth Anderson and Ruskin Bond and the story telling by Ganapathy certainly will be pleasing the fans of the two legends as there is a distinct stream of romanticism , occult experiences and mysticism in his stories drawing inspiration from his two Idols .
