Everyone wants to own this brand
This was my first time using polychromos, I ordered a couple to see if my desperation for them was warranted 😂 I was really surprised because they weren’t as soft as I’d thought there’d be compared to another wax brand I own, nevertheless they really are lovely to use. Will I be ordering a full set?? Yes but first I need to drop some major hints as there expensive. You really do get what you pay for and to me Faber-Castell are the cream of the crop. All serious colouring artists albeit not professionals but those who’s made a hobby out of colouring in all want/desire these pencils. They layer beautifully and the two colours I bought you can definitely tell the pigment is concentrated. I can’t afford to buy these all in one go but I plan on purchasing these colours that I use the most being vivid pinks, turquoise and yellows. I’ve never seen Faber-Castell for sale in any high street shop and to be honest I would avoid buying them there. I feel totally satisfied that Amazon sell the real make of this pencil, I know some of my social media friends that haven’t been so lucky purchasing them elsewhere I can’t wait till I can afford a smaller tin so I plan on building these lovely pencils from there on. 🖍️✏️🖍️📕📒🖌️✂️📌🖇️📄

exceeds expectations
Alright, let's talk about the Faber-Castell Art & Graphic Polychromos Colour Pencils. If you're looking for a serious upgrade in your art supplies, these are definitely worth considering. Being oil-based, they lay down incredibly smoothly, which makes blending and layering a really satisfying experience without that waxy buildup. The pigments are rich and vibrant, so your colours really pop on the page. They hold a sharp point well, which is great for detail work, and the leads feel pretty durable, not prone to snapping easily. While they might be a bit of an investment, the quality in application and colour payoff is consistently high. They're a solid choice for anyone wanting professional-grade performance from their coloured pencils.

Pricey, but so satisfying to use
I've been using this brand for a long time, and I'm really glad I can finally get my hands on single pencils. The pencils are pricey, so if you are like me and like keeping your pencils sharp when using, you might go through them quicker than expected. The colour is really good for doing base sketches to go over again with graphite, but also make for lovely drawings alone. I mostly just use these to draw up sketches, as the material is soft and I need to sharpen it often to get the level of detail I want. I'm pleased to say that I haven't had any material snap off while sharpening, too. You can't really go wrong with this brand. The only real downside is the price, but I think if you are an artist its probably the type of thing you've come to expect.

The very best pencils
I adore these pencils! I currently have nearly 80' of them. Buying them individually like this means that you can gradually increase your collection without the cost of buying a large set all at once. The pencils have a really strong, vibrant colour which lasts as they have a high light fastness rating. The range of colours is also beautiful, the colours bleand and mix well to so any additional colours, if you can find any gaps, can usually be mixed. The texture of the pencils is wonderful, they are so creamy to lay down. They are oil based so there is no issue with wax bloom and can be layered on and on for longer than many pencil brands. I prefer to use these for skin tones because of this layerability. The quality of the wood and the construction of these pencils also beats other, similar priced ones hands down. I have a set of Prismacolours and these feel so much more well made and sharpen easily without breakage. This colour in particular is a favourite of mine and I will definitely need to replace it soon!
