I bought this because I have one of Enya's travel guitars, which I love. When I saw an online review of the Go Sonic, I immediately ordered one. As with the online review I saw (where the reviewer favorably compared the Go Sonic with his $6,500 guitar), I was amazed that such a great guitar could be purchased for so little money. I expected it to be more expensive because of the tariff situation, but it was just a little over $300. This is what Enya did right with this guitar: * The build quality and attention to detail is better that what you'll find in new Gibsons. There were zero flaws. * The playability is wonderful and easily adjustable. The truss rod is easily accessed and really helps here with action control. I could get this guitar to play exactly as I wanted without having to touch the nut. * It sounds great. (I could write a lot more about this, but, in the interest of brevity, will leave it at "sounds great.) * The fact that it has a built-in speaker that sounds good makes this a wonderful practice guitar (see next item), but the guitar is good enough to gig with. If I ever had to play at a venue with flying beer bottles, the Go Sonic is the guitar I'd take. * The carbon build, for me, carries two huge advantages: 1. I can leave it out permanently and, if my animals knock it over, it is far more resistant to damage than a wood guitar would be, and 2. I can leave it out and it won't be negatively affected by temperature and humidity changes. In fact, it never goes out of tune. The upshot is this: This is my "always out" guitar because I'm secure that nothing bad will happen to it. However, if I was wrong about that and a meteor hit it or something, I'm only out about $300. * The onboard electronics are great, especially if you like a little crunch. (Having said that, the clean tone is good, too, although in onboard speaker struggles to get it loud enough). * It looks cool. The only "con" I can think of: I wish it had a physical tone knob. I don't understand how such a great instrument can be offered at such a low price. It can't just be the lower labor costs in China. I think it's more likely that this is due to some very smart people at Enya making very good decisions.

I struggle to find the words to express how perfect this guitar is for me. Started playing at 12 years old in the early 80's, have played in many bars, studios, festivals, campfires, etc. and have had all kinds of amps and effects. The Enja Nova Go Sonic is so convenient that it just makes you want to play. Put it on a stand in any room and it is hard to walk by without picking it up and playing it for a bit. The editor app. is perfect, it loaded on my old phone with no problems, connected effortlessly; it has exactly what is needed and nothing more, no option paralyze, it has: Fender Deluxe Reverb and Soldano SLO100 amps., a good eq, chorus tremolo or vibrato, a delay and a reverb. I set up the four sounds you can choose from with the button on the guitar, went back to edit once, and have not had to use the app. since. Dialed in an ambient kind of chorusy reverb clean sound, a clean with just a bit of breakup and reverb, an AC/DC kind of sound, and a Van Halen kind of sound. Guitar it self plays nice and is comfortable, stays in tune. Love this thing, highly recommend for anyone that just wants to play and not fidle with dials.

This is a great guitar for the price. It feels really nice in my hands and is really easy and fun to play. The built in amp and speaker help me play it everyday as I don’t have to have any cords plugged in. This is a great tool for a beginner or someone that just wants to practice more. You can play from your phone or other device through the built in speaker so it’s great to play backing tracks to noodle over. I thought it would feel light and cheap but it has some weight to it and appears well built. Intonation was a bit off with the factory setup but a shop can fix that for you or you can do it yourself good enough fairly easily. I took a star off because mine makes a loud popping noise every now and then. I live in a very dry climate and it seems to be related to static electricity but I’m not sure and it’s not a big issue. It has never happened when recording through the standard 1/4in output. Also it sounds 1,000 times better than my squire.

I purchased the Novo Go Sonic...no discount other than the Prime Day deal. I've been playing since I was a kid and own an embarrassingly stupid number of guitars. I'd been looking at the Enya guitars for a while because I've wanted an electric with an on-board amp to have around the office. After buying a little Pignose guitar which doesn't stay in tune and sounds terrible. I finally grabbed a Nova Go Sonic during Prime Day and have been having a blast with it since it arrived. Even with the the electronics and on-board speaker, it weighs just under 7lb's. It was set up well from the factory, seldom needs to be tuned (even after leaving it in the car for the afternoon), the fit and finish are great for a sub-$400 guitar and the included gig bag is really nice. The fun comes with the built in amp and effects which exceeded my expectations. There are 4 presets in the guitar which are available at the push of a button, and the guitar syncs wirelessly (and seamlessly) to an Enya iOS app which has plenty of additional presets you can tweak or use as-is and save to the guitar. The tone is nice and very 3-dimmensional coming out of the on-board speaker. It's not particularly loud but it sounds BIG. I've always loved the sound of controlled feedback (not squeal but controlled harmonic sustain) that you can get with a guitar next to an amp. The little Novo Go Sonic (and Inspire) do it GREAT!!! The amp models and effects include: Deluxe Clean & 100 Distortion amp models 5-Band EQ Modulation (Chorus, Trem or Vibrato) Noise Reduction Delay Reverb I've had the Sonic for a couple of weeks now and it's held up great. I haven't plugged it into one of my amps yet to see how it performs as a traditional guitar and I haven't tried hooking it up to BT to play along with a track through the guitar's speaker, which I believe it can do. The Sonic has been such a blast that I've since gotten an Enya Inspire for the house. The Inspire is basically a Super Strat with a trem and a bit louder internal amp. It does everything the Sonic does and more !!! You can't go wrong with either one of these...loads of fun and an amazing value !!!
