Could brownie mix be used for layers of a cake or cupcakes?

I made a 3 tier cake and 6 cupcakes from 2 packs of mix and used 2 tubs of icing (with a bit left over). Hope this helps.

As far as I can see, there are no haram ingredients listed in the gluten free cake mix.

What’s the use by date on these boxes please?

I bought mine last September and they are dated until August 2022. The date is on the top of the box.
