The magnets are in the wrong place for the pushers to stick to the rack. So I made some adjustments and put new magnets so the pusher would stick to the rack. The wood quality is great, but I did not expect to make such adjustments

Super disappointed in these. The wood quality is okay, but the description makes it look like the magnets will magnetize pushers to the base to hold the pusher upright duting play. They do not! The magnets are in the wrong place for this to happen.

Just received my racks and like them already. Nicely made wood racks with felt bottom is ideal and convenient with the flat top to display exposed tiles. I don’t really need the pushers but it’s a welcome add-on for those who want them. As light as they are individually, I’m not sure I’d use for travel. I’m very glad I kept searching for wood versus acrylic.

This beautiful set does not have a front magnet to keep the pusher in place. Otherwise, I would have give it a 5 stars.

I’m new to mahjong so don’t know exactly what other reviews are talking about with the magnets being in the wrong place. I find the racks sturdy and they seem like they’ll hold up really well. They are a bit rough so I should have sanded them first but I painted them to match the aesthetic I was going. Love them with my mat and tiles, basically the $800 look for $100 total!

My bad. I should have looked at the reviews before I ordered. The magnets are useless because they are placed in the wrong position. They are in the middle of the boards of the rack and pusher instead of closer to the edge. That means the magnets don't securely hold the pusher.
