Just be sure to keep the Moka Pot level once the reducer is placed to avoid it shifting and compromising the brew.The construction feels solid overall, but I did notice some rust developing on the handle after only a few uses. This reducer is very handy for brewing less than a full capacity with my 9-cup moka pot.When using this type of coffee brewer it is necessary to completely fill the funnel with coffee grounds. If not, channels of water may form through the coffee grounds "puck" causing dilution.The way around this, if a smaller batch of brewed coffee is desired, is to use a reducer. It keeps the coffee compacted so that channeling is less likely.Place the reducer onto the coffee grounds filled funnel.It is very easy to use and clean.It made for a better coffee taste when not brewing a full batch. It offers an upgrade at a reasonable price.
