Golden Grahams S'mores Chocolate Marshmallow Treat Bars, 8.48 oz (Pack of 2)

Everyone in my house loves these snack bars! They have the crunch and chew of a Rice Krispies Treat Bar but, they taste like Golden Grahams cereal with a hint of milk chocolate. I don't really think they taste like a true s'mores (the real ones, like we made in the 60s, while camping) but they do have the s'mores essence about them, and they taste Great!! They appear to be Golden Grahams cereal that is held together by melted marshmallow (like Rice Krispies Treats), and mixed into the Golden Grahams cereal & melted marshmallows is miniature solid marshmallows and miniature chocolate chips ... then, the bar is a 'black bottom', meaning that the bottom of the bar has been lightly dipped in milk chocolate. The bars are sweet ... sweet enough for just one bar to 'hit the spot' with my dieter's sweet tooth; but they're not sickening sweet, either. To give you an idea ... I''m not a candy bar eater because they're too sweet for me but, I can eat one of these bars (completely) and feel sweet-tooth-satisfied, without feeling like I ate a bag of sugar ... sweet but not overdone.Originally, I bought these bars as a sweet treat while on a weight loss diet. Each bar has just 130 calories and so they make a perfect, low-calories sweet snack that satisfies my sweet tooth without sabotaging my diet. However, the entire family enjoys these bars ... my son likes to eat a bar for breakfast and says it goes great with his coffee while commuting to work ... on school days, my grandson likes to add a bar to his bag lunch ... and, my type 1 diabetic husband likes to keep a bar with him as a quick-grab to eat when his blood sugar dips too low.

I purchased these after trying the king size version I found at a gas station. Though they are labeled as the exact same S’mores bar, these are disappointing. They are compressed much more tightly together which makes them hard to chew and they scrape your gums. The flavor is also lacking, bland compared to the larger bars.

My husband sent me a care package with these in it and they were amazing. I wish they were a little bigger. They are also over priced on amazon. They’re way cheaper at target. He unfortunately didn’t know that.
