I have had 2 8’ fluorescent fixtures in my garage for 15 years and although at the time I bought the best rated bulbs I was never satisfied. They failed to light if the garage was damp ( bringing vehicles in during a rain storm was enough to cause this) and had difficulty lighting when it was extremely cold.A few weeks ago a ballast burned out in one of them and that was enough to make me say enough and purchase LED replacement bulbs for both fixtures.The ballast needs to be removed and some simple wiring modifications are required which took me less than 15 minutes per fixture and I now have bright dependable lighting like I have not experienced before.Great product but be sure to check the bulb connections will fit your fixture as there are two different types.

This is a very cost efficient way to modify old high output T12 eight foot fixture.Impressed with the lamp output.

Great replacement for my fluorescent lights. I removed the ballast and rewired it. You need to be electrically savvy enough to do this or hire someone to do it. 2 of these lights are about the cost of a new ballast or the cost of 2 new T8 fluorescents. These should last longer and use less electricity. What's not to like.

I bought $800 worth of these lights and in under, UNDER, 24 months we had 14 of these die. Here's the catch, their Amazon posts says, "3 year warranty, so we've got you covered", but they don't. You have 180 days for a full replacement. So which is it?! If I can at least get these replaced for no cost, then I'll reconsider my review, but until then, I claim "bait-and-switch". Totally not happy.

I really applaud the packaging. Considering its 8' length, it came via USPS unscathed. Installing was easy after re-wire removing old ballasts, which I did prior to receiving the shipment. These frosted are not, however, adequate for 9' garage ceilings especially w/o white painted drywall to help reflect the light. I have two other fixtures for which I'm ordering the "clear" versions. Mixing the two orders should provide a satisfactory result

Arrived quickly in a sturdy package. Straightforward instructions to convert from fluorescent tubes. Nice white light in my garage. Will convert other fixtures over to these. As others have said be careful when inserting into fixture. Fragile.

Didn't get instructions is my only complaint but found a wiring diagram on line.. That's okay if you have unlimited internet access.

I currently have eight of these in use in our barn. I had to bypass the ballasts so make sure you look at the wiring diagram before you install them. They are brighter than the flourescents and use far less power. Nice product!
