The flavor is rich, deep, and intense, with a subtle earthy note typical of aged Pu-erh. It’s very convenient that it comes in a pressed cake form, which is perfect for long-term storage. The brew turns out excellent even after multiple steeps. The price is fully justified by the quality, making it a great choice for those who enjoy classic Chinese Pu-erh tea. I recommend storing it in a cool, dry place to preserve its aroma. I’ll definitely order it again! Review: The one - This tea is packaged well. Smells good. Comes with a few stems, brews in light green color, just slightly murky but overall the taste and feeling is great. It has a slight fragrant taste with notes of dried apricot and honey. The taste of sweetness at the back of the throat comes a bit after the second wash and that is what I am after. The caffeine level is not through the roof (about 7 out of 10). Overall a smooth feeling and experience

So testy
If you're a fan of rich, earthy teas, the KHS Organic Ripe Pu Erh Tea Cake is a must-try! The deep, woody flavor is perfect for those who appreciate the complexities of aged teas. It’s USDA certified organic, which is a big plus. The 12.6 oz cake provides plenty of servings, and the no-dust production workshop ensures top quality. Definitely worth the purchase for true Pu Erh lovers!

Buy one to try or for the tea fanciers in your life, it is an experience worth having.
** I had to knock off a star after getting further into the cake. The edges are nice but, closer to the center the tea is compressed so much that it will not hydrate while brewing. This leaves you with stem and leaf debris and a hard knot of dry tea. Even so it is worth it for the price I have never consumed tea in this form before so it has been an adventure. The tea cake arrives in a sealed zip lock bag. Inside the bag is the paper wrapper around the pressed cake. There is Chinese writing on the paper wrap and a few characters on the flat surface of the tea cake as well. Opposite the flatter side are several lumps which are meant to be broken off as individual servings. Each lump is good for 4+ 12oz cups of tea if brewed a cup at a time. Many more if brewed gong fu style in a small gaiwan. This tea is not quite as pleasant as some organic white peony I have sampled, but very enjoyable. I think people that have tried black/red tea or green and not enjoyed it may like this type. It is free of bitterness when properly steeped and does not have flavor so much as a weighty mouth feel. The gong fu tradition would have you discard the first 2 minute wash steep, but it is delicious and flavored differently than subsequent steeps. It does not require sweetening, lemon, or milk, but it would blend well with any or all of that. After the wash steep the serving opens up into carefully picked tea leaves. It seems to be good quality as there is almost no dust or sediment compared to the stuff familiar to bag tea drinkers. The caffeine is mild compared to black or green tea and much milder than coffee. I have been drinking 4+ 12oz cups a day without feeling jittery or having any sleep difficulties. Buy one to try or for the tea fanciers in your life, it is an experience worth having.

First Pu'er Tea experience
Don't know how it compares to others, so grain of salt. When brewed, it had a gorgeous reddish hue. Has a bit of a fish food smell (like those flakes for goldfish) along with the taste of the first few brews also having that same taste. I do not know if this is normal for Pu'er Tea, but I found this to be a mild enough scent and flavor to enjoy it. By the middle of the steepings, the fish foodiness has gone completely, leaving a lovely taste with a strong tannin tingle on the tongue. Loveliest of all was how this tea made me feel. I could feel my body relaxing in a way certain muscle relaxers do. Just an all over relaxing feeling and easing of tension in my whole body. If this is how every Pu'er will make me feel physically, I will for sure consider it my favorite tea type. For reference, the tea cake is divided into a bunch of little squares. I used four for my tea set which, after the leaves hydrated, filled the pot about half way.

I won’t buy it again
I love pu-erh in cakes, but not when it’s pressed into these portioned bricks. They are difficult to brew properly. I’ve been drinking pu-erh for about 15 years, and I can say that this one is not the best option. The brewed tea has a decent aroma, but the taste is not rich. This one is great for those looking for a mild pu-erh for daily drinking. Personally, I didn’t like the taste. I think you can find something more intense and flavorful for the same price. I won’t buy it again, but it’s not that bad.

Excellent product for this money. Price-quality. Expectation-result
I often need to sit longer in the evening. Coffee has the opposite effect, I start to fall asleep after 15 minutes. I tried different types of puero. I settled on this one. It suits me, it invigorates me perfectly and tastes good. Before that I took another type of puero, it tasted bitter and the effect was weak. When I decided to write a review, this is all that was left))). I am very pleased. I recommend it!
