They are a little touch but that could potentially go away after a wash. There are a good bit of lose threads I'm having to clean up and some extra fabric that wasn't cut. In my photos I included a comparison to another set of hankerchiefs. The other set are softer, the edges look cleaner done. They still also have edges that need clean up but for the material, it's worth it. I'll probably return the set of 5 as they are not as nice as the other set of hankerchiefs I purchased.

These are ok, but nothing to get overly excited about. I had intended to use them for handkerchiefs but I think it will take several more washings to determine if I can soften them enough. After the initial wash (on gentle simply due to the other items being washed), they were still pretty stiff. If you intend to use them for pocket squares, I would think that would be a positive quality. They are a true white and the first washing didn't unravel any seams.

These are nice enough for pocket squares, which is how they were advertised when I ordered them. For that purpose, I rate them four stars. They measure just over 11 inches square. The scalloped stitching around the edge definitely has a front and a back; as you can see in my photos one side of the stitching is more neat and the other has some loose strands and is less smooth. They’re a very good solid white, not off-white. Once they’re washed and ironed, I hoped to practice some embroidery designs and perhaps use them in home decor. If one wanted to use them as hankies, they might need a couple of washes first to soften them up. I would wash them in a laundry bag so as not to unravel the edges. (If anything drastic happens when I wash them, I’ll update later, but simple cold washing ought to be fine for these as they are fairly simple fabric.)
