Great Product!
I am new to the Sous Vide world so this unit came in at a great price for me. It was packaged well and arrived quickly. The unit was easy to set up and link to my phone. Instructions are easy to understand and only took a few minutes. The unit seems sturdy and the screen is easy to read. I do like the ability to monitor what’s going on from my phone if away from the kitchen. The small size of it doesn’t take up much space in the container. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is when running. The settings are easy to manage on both the app or the unit itself. On the app there are a lot of presets for different meats etc. I tried some cubed beef as a test and it came out wonderful, done to the exact temperature that I wanted. I have a number of other Inkbird products and have had no issues with any of them.

Accurate and feature rich immersion cooker!
I purchased this in Feb 2023.I wanted a reasonable amount of time before submitting a review, not only detailing what I thought about its performance and my first impressions - but also my assessment of it's durability and reliability over the course of 12+ months. This is a really nice immersion cooker. For the price, it holds its weight very well against the big brand models thats 2-3x the cost.I've used this model about 25-30 times in the last 14 months. I've cooked beef steaks, roasts, tenderloins, fishand brisket. All cooked wonderfully with accurate water temp. I tested numerously at different stages of cooking with my instant thermometer. Reflected temp is dead on.On a few recipes, there is a small trial and error on temp and cooking time to nail your own personal taste and texture preference. I record my perfect temp and times and every cook after that comes out perfect. With steaks, chops, roasts and tenderloins, I will always sous vide as my first option. Juiciest and tender from all other methods I've used. The only con (which is relative) is the amount of time needed to cook. Sous vide method is not the fastest but quite set and forget cooking that requires very little monitoring and affords a wide margin of error.I use cast iron or my food torch to brown food after sous vide is done. Comes out great. The inkbird app for this model works awesome. I've never had it fail. You can open the app and monitor cooking time, verify current temp, modify temp, modify cooking time, get alerts for low liquid level, among other things. Once connected to your home network, you can control it remotely from your phone, anywhere that your phone has internet. If there's one point of criticism, it's that I've seen other models circulate the water with more turbulence. I'm guessing those models have either larger impeller or faster rpm on the impeller. That being said, I'm not convinced it's relevant here as I've never had the heater not maintain temp despite the size and volume of food I've cooked in the container. I'd have to to test it in a really big volume container, I guess - but I don't have a need to get one bigger than the one I have (12 quart).Maybe one other area may be the spring clip that secures the heater to the container. It's holding up great so far after a year's use, but I'm not sure if this mechanism is better than a screw and knob style retention system. I'll revisit, maybe, after another year of use. So far, so good though. This is my first sous vide cooker - and I never thought I'd love it this much. Sous vide is a method every casual to seasoned cook should try regardless of brand of cooker you use. The method is just that good and forgiving. Results are awesome. If you want a good bang for the buck, this inkbird should be worth an audition.I've never looked back.

Simple and effective
Replaced a 6 year old Anova that broke and lost app support for this Inkbird brand. Super easy to setup straight out of the box, simple app, and confirmed temperature accuracy with alternate probes. It was spot on even without using the offset feature. The only complaints are:1. The side clip doesn't fit easily around the lip on my pots but I was able to reuse the Anova clamp.2. The sounds it makes are a bit annoying if the house is otherwise silent. The circulator has a higher pitched whine and fluctuates speed up and down slightly. When it reaches target temp you can hear a relay click on and off constantly, assuming heater circuit closed loop control keeping it at temp.Otherwise a solid value that appears well built and will be able to produce amazing slow cooked foods.

Big bang for your buck.
For now it's five stars because it works exactly as it should, heats quickly, keeps temperature constant, and really couldn't be much simpler to use. While the controls directly on the Inkbird aren't what you'd call intuitive, it took about 5 minutes to figure out without even looking at the instructions except the Wi-Fi part. In the app however it really couldn't be simpler, pairing to the Inkbird and my Wi-Fi was easy. I would recommend connecting directly through the app then mess with the controls on the device later. A little over 90 minutes out of the box I had a chuck steak with some shrimp, and I have to be honest even with just a chuck steak it cooks so perfectly that I put it against any steak I've ever had in a restaurant. Super tender and juicy. The next meal was porterhouse, scallops, and brussel sprouts and again it came out perfect. There are certainly tricks and tweaks to learn for different cuts, thickness, etc.. but I have cooked something every night for the week since I got it and haven't had a miss yet.I say five stars for now cuz the only thing that might change the review is going to be durability down the road but it seems solid and well built.

Love this little tool
This has been great for making my cultured milk. I checked the temperature and it's been consistent. I run it for 36 hours at a time. I think I'm going to purchase another one just to have around.

It’s Quiet!
We sent back an Anova given the annoying buzz/hum it made and bought an ink Bird. The Ink Bird is very very quiet. We needed to calibrate it -2°. It holds a steady temperature. I’m 5’2” and an annoying feature is the read out is slightly above where I can comfortably see it when it’s on the counter. So I end up going on my tiptoes to read it. It could be easier to manually operate. Pressing buttons several times to get to the right menu item always seems a bit clumsy but it can be done. We would not buy a Sous Vide that doesn’t have manual controls, but we did try the app. We needed to poke around a bit to get it to work but it does and I will say operating the Sous Vide via the app is easier and it negates the need to read the Sous Vide directly. Time will tell how reliable this is but for the price and the quiet it was a good buy.
