A very underrated speaker!
Obviously, this driver is designed to go into a cabinet and when put into a 15/16 litre box with some bracing, a decent tweeter and a well designed crossover, this is a very impressive unit. It is quite surprising how much solid bass you can get out of a relatively small ported box. If you are looking to build a pair of speakers that isn't going to break the bank and want something that is going to out perform the majority of commercial units, then this is the way to go. Have a look at Paul Carmody's Classix 2 - do a Google search for Paul Carmody.

Great fantastic
Great if you know the difference between a subwoofer and a woofer

First tried gluing a replacement foam surround on the original Klipsch woofer after it crumbled and it just didn't work out. It's a messy job, tricky to line everything up while glue dries much too fast, etc. Ordering this affordable speaker just a little more than the cost of the kit was SO much easier. It looks very well made and a great value. There's plenty of bass response and I don't even feel the need to turn the bass dial up more than halfway. Just a few notes: - Screw mounts line up perfectly and you can use the original screws - One of the connectors is a difference size then Klipsch, you can crimp on a new connector to the original wiring - To save some time and effort I just attached the original narrow crimped connector sideways so it grips the edge of the speaker's connector. Added some tight electrical tape around it and it seems to be holding fine - If you notice any buzzing after installation, check for air gaps in the case. Use silicone, etc to seal them air tight. - The original grill wont stay put, I've left mine open but you can probably use some shims + glue to make it work.

Replaced a 1980's Paul Barton bookshelf. Hard to tell the difference between it and the other orginal one. Good price. Quality speaker.

I got this for my grandson who likes to build his own speakers. So far he said it sounds good. Looks great. It’s lightweight and it puts out a loud Bam Bam lol lol the size was perfect.

Really good you get what you pay for performs well and does have some decent low air resonance bass to it that is quite like a subwoofer doesn't shake the house but definitely rattles the windows
