34mm General Purpose Mechanical (GPM) Wrist Watch with Tritium - WW194003, Black Case - No Government Markings Dial, Mechanical

First off - I was really torn on this watch and another not so well known brand. After a lot of deliberation and research I ended up on going with Marathon based on a few points. 1) established brand with a track record. 2) size of watch and mechanism for the money. The other watch was much bigger and that in the end really put me off also the mechanism on the other was quartz. My next dilemma was delivery, I’m a Uk resident purchasing an item out with the EU so anybody who’s purchased outside the EU knows there’s customs charges. And to be honest info within Amazon was really unclear whether the price displayed included customs or not. Really wasn’t willing on paying this. So I contacted Marathon and within a few hours got a reply answering my queries - they cover the customs which was totally unexpected. Was really impressed so far. Cherry on the cake! I got a notification that delivery would be 28 days - so I emailed then again to see if I could pay extra to have this fast tracked - they got back to say that unfortunately this wasn’t an option but that they would try their best to speed this up. This all happened on the Monday - fast track 4 days and my watch arrived on the Thursday not only on record time but also received a few extra goodies. If I wasn’t reassured with the customer service already this won it over for me. Couldn’t be happier with the Marathon brand. Can’t comment on the functionality yet but so far the watch has surpassed all my expectations! If anyone is unsure whether to go with this brand you couldn’t pick a better watch brand. Shortly after getting the watch, it started to lose time (minutes per day). After putting up with this, the watch started losing 20+ minutes per day and became unusable. I took the watch back to Marathon to have the movement repaired. This cost me $200 which was significant. Terrible for sure but I still liked the watch and wanted it back in working order. This was earlier this year (January). After wearing the watch to June this year, the crown broke and fell off. Now I can't even set the time and the watch is now unusable. I reached out to Marathon and they told me to send it for repair again. I told them that this isn't acceptable and I don't want to spend any more money on this watch. In my opinion, they should really fix this at their expense. I told them as much and they have stopped responding. Overall, I think this has been a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this watch. It's a substandard product and it's not even a 'cheap' watch. I would spend my money on another watch and brand.

Nice, durable milspec watch. Not for smaller wrist only.

It came with a Marathon Glow in The Dark Moral which is nice. The shipment was fast too.
