If you're going to take Vitamin C then Liposomal Vitamin C is the way to go. Liposomes is an encapsulation that helps your body absorb the Vitamin C. Regular Vitamin C will be partially absorbed and the rest is expelled in urine. Liposomal Vitamin C is the best. You can buy these pills, or you can go a web search to find recipes to make it. Making it is work and you need an ultrasonic cleaner, but it's less expensive over time than the pills. I bought the pills because I'm lazy (lol).
