Review
My dog loves this ball! I took out the mechanical piece in the middle and my dog loves to, not chew it.... like it's not coming off in chunks.... but he does use his back teeth to crunch it and open it. I know that sounds bad but it's honestly not. AND his teeth get clean, which was a nice bonus! It's bouncy, rolls nicely, perfect size for a 40 lb dog. I find it to be very durable... it hasn't come apart yet or broken down. And it's functional with or without the mechanical piece inside. Very happy I purchased this.

Oh, do our dogs LOVE this....
They love it so much we bought one for each dog. Great quality, durability, function and design. I actually have to hide them because they love them so much. Fantastic play/training toy for enrichment used with observation and pup parent involvement. Would not give to pup to play on their own so as not to tear it up or eat the covering (we have 5 Border Collies). Worth every penny for us.

Great concept 4.5-4.8 stars
This toy is really fun when it works. That's not to say it glitches or anything of the sort. But the battery is short-lived. One of the settings is very sensitive and will move often, jittering around to entice the pup, which is really cool and effective...but I have a puppy with a very short attention span. She forgets about it quickly and easily returns with her train of thought. But because the ball is so active, I have to recharge it 2-3 times per day. I work long hours from home, so the ball is in high demand for extended periods of time. It charges quickly, so that's a plus. The outer foam shell is very durable. I'm surprised I haven't had to purchase a new one yet. I would like to get my hands on another battery or two to keep them in constant rotation. So overall, I recommend this ball. Just understand it'll take maintanence on your part.

Passed the Aussie test
This ball passed the Aussie test, my Australian Shepherd usually destroys any toy I give him, except the ones in rubber and particularly this self bouncing ball. I like that it keeps my dog entertained for a long time, I just wish the battery would last longer, but once connected to USB charger it will be ready in no time. I like this ball so much I ordered a second one, so I always have one ready and charged. I like the vibrant color and the texture of this ball and its quality and precise manufacturing. The two halves of the ball screw together in a seamless finish. I would recommend getting this ball for your dog, it will provide hours of entertainment.

Enjoyable, but poses a choking hazard when it comes apart.
My high energy small dog (15 pounds) loves the ball. The vibrating, bouncing, and sounds keep him entertained for a short time. The battery does have a short life, and it does need charged frequently. However, my concern is that it comes apart exposing the small electronic device that makes it "perform". Should a larger dog get the ball apart and find the electronic device, the potential for them to swallow the device and choke exists. The size of the device is similar to a golf ball and the right size for a dog to choke. The thought for the ball is good, but the design needs some work.

Great Entertainment for a Pup Prone to Boredom
Our rough and tumble little Boston loves this fun toy! It's not just your average ball! I think it presents a challenge to my pup and that's a very good thing. It doesn't bore her. In fact, when the battery plays out, she seems to wait with anticipation for it to charge so the games can begin again! Tip: buy two so that there will always be one ready to go while the other one is being charged. Yes...she loves it that much! She plays with it for hours and she hasn't destroyed it yet..unlike most of the balls I have bought for her.I can't speak to the "mouth feel" of the ball but I will say that the color is bright and cheerful and she's having a blast with it bouncing all over the place.Recommended

Entertaining for both dog and owner.
My 17 pound Cavapoo is really enthused about her orange bouncing ball! I’m pleasantly surprised she can pick it up in her mouth. Better yet, she hasn’t been able to chew chunks out of it. Up until now, I’ve had difficulty finding toys that appeal to her AND that stay intact! I’m relieved to have one now. I have to laugh about the ball getting lost in my little living room. It finds out-of-the-way corners to hide. One of the first nights, I didn’t think to turn it off. As I was laying in bed I could hear the ball awake up and start the familiar bouncing pattern. In short, we love everything about it—the color, the durable cover that protects furniture, the easy access to the charging port, and the fact that I can buy another cover if this one falls apart. It doesn’t look like that will happen anytime soon.

Best One I could find & it survived 2 months of testing
I have a 65 pound Aussie, SOUL and a 50 pound Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix, WILLOW who crave activity. Willow has a very high prey instinct and Soul is very curious and smart. I purchased 5 different bouncing balls to test and this is the only one that survived. I will say the cheeper plastic ones had far more action and one even had lights and music but they didn't even last one day. Size matters. The first & 2nd balls really engaged them but were too small. They had a lot of action and roll, constant movement. But, one bite stopped the party! I wish they made these larger. The third ball required batteries and it was by far their favorite with lights and music but the rubber nibs used to protect the plastic body fell off on the first run. I put them back on but they continued to fall off. The dogs cracked the body. I rubber banded it together but it just couldn't hold up. The fourth ball is similar to this one but it has a large recessed button to power on and change modes. I like it better because I don't have to unscrew it to charge it or power the modes. Unfortunately, my Aussie was able to bite the button off. I always supervise their play but Soul is the master of destroying the most advertised indestructible toys, especially if they have squeakers. So even though the playability function of this ball is less exciting, it is the most durable and a good size. I just wish they could ramp up the movement modes.
