Good food but hard pieces.
I’m not 100% sure how to feel about this yet. A lot of people complain that it’s dry & crumbly, but that’s how freeze dried food is since you’re supposed to add water to it. I add some pellets of this on top of my dogs kibble and rehydrate it all and it’s fine. The only thing I am not sure about is the feel. When I add pellets on top I crumble them and when I do that I feel some hard pieces that I can even break. It’s not plastic so I’m assuming it’s the “ground bone” that is not ground all the way. That doesn’t make me feel comfortable so I will not be purchasing again.

Not as firm as it could be
I know that my dog enjoys the taste of the food, unfortunately when opening a new bag the food pellets are softer than the beef and are usually broken. Resulting in a powder that gets stuck on the facial hair of a dog which contributes to a small mess and offensive odor if not cleaned after the pet has eaten. Upon looking at the food pellets they appear to be loosely packed and that may be why they break compare to the beef option. Overall my dog enjoys the food, it just needs to be manufactured better to hold its shape

My Maltese says no thank you
My 8 to Maltese last year almost died when the Vet over vaccinated her. She was in the emergency room for a week and 1 blood transfusion. Afterwards, the specialist docs wanted her to be on a soft food. I tried every canned food-she refused more than half. I started doing some research to find healthier foods for her. I tried other dehydrated brands, which at first she enjoyed, but later decided, mmm, no thanks Mom, so I thought I would also try this brand which seemed to be a healthy choice. She immediately said no thank you. She still loves the Stella and Chewy patties-salmon and sirloin. This food seemed packaged well and appearance seemed right. Its hard to spend this much on dog food and have your dog turn her nose up though. I will try to give it away to less picky dog friends I guess

Good Food
I have a chihuahua and she's so picky with food. I've given her about 5 nuggets at a time of this new food with her other food, (Little Ceasar's wet) to slowly transition her. She picks up a nugget at a time and carries it to the living room and eats it up, and continues in this way until all 5 are gone. She left the rest of her other food but ate it a little later on. She's had 4 meals now of this new food. It's expensive, but she only needs a cup or so a day as she's a little overweight. I figure with 16 cups to a bag, it'll last a good 2 weeks. But so far she's eaten this new food every time I give it to her. The other food she'd only eat when really hungry, (I guess). I'll give it 5 stars if she continues to like this and continues to eat it.

My dog loves it but half the bag ends up as crumbs!
I rated this 5 star simply because this is the first dog food my finicky dog will eat. I’ve tried every kind and she loves this. As far as the taste goes she has never told me but I’m assuming she likes the chicken flavor. I have never tasted it so I cannot report on this. Lol! However the value for the money is terrible. The last bag I purchase was 24 oz and one third of it was crumbs. My dog will not eat the crumbs. I have tried other freeze dried food and they were not the texture of this food and did not crumble. The only reason I purchased this again is because it’s the only kind my dog will eat. Otherwise I would not purchase this again. I believe Stewart’s should figure out a way to produce this food without most of it crumbling away . It’s not right to pay that much for dog food to have it inedible. I don’t mind buying quality food for my pets but I feel this is like throwing money away.

Not sure what I expected
I know this product is freeze-dried, but it looks like dried-out dirt. My dog eats the treat but not her favorite. Just wasn't what I expected.

Too powdery. Too expensive
It costs way too much... is powdery ,,, a lot of the dried pieces tend to disintegrate in the bag.. 3 ounce bag was 55$! I ordered in American but in Canadian it quadrupled in price
