BASE Paintball Goggles

I was a little hesitant to order this as there aren't many references to Base Products online. Not many videos on Youtube, and not many reviews either. Base is a foreign (To the US) company that is distributed by Virtue, a very reputable Paintball brand. I bit the bullet and ordered the Master Chief version. The Mask is really looking and very comfortable. For the price, it's probably the best Paintball mask that money can buy. Removable Foam, easy change lenses, comfortable well made head strap and it includes a chin strap in case your field or tourney requires it. The foam and lens seems like it belongs on a much more expensive mask. The body of the mask is hard plastic, so don't expect many bounces, and the visor is not removable (Which may be a deal breaker for some) but this thing is unbeatable for the price...I know I've said that twice now, but I really want to drive that point home. I may be looking to get a more expensive, softer mask in the future, but I wouldn't recommend anything else for a beginner. I was looking to get a Virtue Vio Ascend and get a yellow tint dual pane lens, but this will do the job. If you want a true high contrast yellow lens, I'd say try and order the Tan version...I saw a review that said that the Master Chief version came with the yellow, so I ordered it because I figured it'd save me a bit of cash, but I did end up getting a gold reflective lens. Not a deal breaker for me because the mask looks ridiculously cool. If I order another, I may look at getting the Tan and painting it...won't hurt since I mostly do Scenario/Woodsball. I'll have to wait and see how it handles after time, but for the price, I'd highly recommend it.The vents allow amazing breathability and I've had no fogging issues. Acoustically, awesome...I can hear and others can hear me loud and clear. Coverage is decent...slight chin protrusion, but it's minimal especially considering some more expensive masks cover less, but the mask is still fairly sleek and compact, so not bulky. I was tempted to drop a star since I've found it hard to find replacement Lenses, Foam, or Straps, but I won't do that since it's a fairly new product and I don't think I'll need any of that for a while. I did find those accessories on the Virtue Paintball Site though...hopefully they'll come to Amazon sometime in the future. I don't need any of it, but I like to be prepared for the future.Up next...either another Base mask or a Virtue Vio Ascend with a Yellow High Contract Dual Lens...that'll set me back over $115, though...I'll have to see how this mask works in the long run. If you're new to paintball or just looking at a secondary or loaner mask, get this. I'm sure you won't regret it. NOTE: I have seen some people saying that their ears hurt after extended use, but that isn't a problem for me. Maybe that depends on the size of your head?Good luck!

This was the first mask I bought when getting into paintball (woodsball) for the price its great. So great that my local fields uses them as their rental gear. If you are getting into paintball or airsoft on a budget this is a great place to start.

This mask is a great fit for me. It is comfortable to wear and the lens removal is the easiest I've seen. The lens can be upgraded to dual pane if desired, but if not, the replacement single pane lens is about $10. You are also able to easily change the foam padding or buy additional foam padding if loaning the mask to a friend. Played three times with this mask and not once has it fogged up on me. I can see and breathe easily with this mask! It's one of the best values in the game as far as masks are concerned.

I ordered the FDE/Tan and it looks nothing like what is pictured. It is a very very light tan color as others have noted. I took off the lens and straps and spray painted mine to have more of a camo look.Other than that it's a pretty good fit for an adult and I like the tint the lens has. I'll be playing some paintball this weekend so i'll see how it performs then.

I've played paintball three times in the past 12 months, renting equipment all 3 times. Living in Florida with a ton of humidity I experienced my lenses fogging up towards the middle of each match. My nephew had his birthday party at the paintball field so I purchased this mask mainly for the the dual layer lens. I was the only person NOT complaining about fogged lenses, lack of comfort, or ability to breathe. Plus it gives that Master Chef look from Halo. I'd recommend this to anyone. Only negative review is that I thought the lens would have a metallic look to it based on the picture. The lens is plain yellow.

So first thing I noticed was that it came in the color tan when I had chosen green as the pictures suggested but, I didn't read the color description. Other than that it's an amazing mask have used it two weekends in a row has not fogged up once and if breaths amazingly well. Another thing for me I have a really big head and the mask is just a tiny bit narrow so the foams do kind of press my cheeks a tiny bit but other than that quite comfortable. Also, to the guy who gave it one star. Always buy the thermal dual pane lense.

I have a fat head and while this isn’t as comfortable as a profiler I had years ago, it fits just fine and didn’t pinch or bring any discomfort. Vents are big and plentiful and allows great breathability, plenty of air flow, and no voice reverb when you are screaming your head off because nobody else is paying attention to the enemies movements. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat and will be picking up a second lens soon, comes with clear but I just prefer a smoked or hdr lens. A+

Straight out of the box this mask fit extremely comfortably on the face and had great breathability as well as field of vision. On the field, it performs even better; through an intense 4 hour airsoft session it still sat comfortably on the face and it hasn't fogged on me once. Not to mention, it looks great! Without a doubt, I got my money's worth with this mask and I highly recommend it, I think it's gonna be a permanent fixture to my airsoft getup when I paint it.
