Impressive for the price
I bought this sound bar for my son's room to prevent him keep pestering us in our Cinema Room. For the money I was pleasantly surprised by its sound quality. Yes the mid-range falls away when the volume is nearing its optimum range, however, again for the money it held its own. The bass range from the subwoofer is admirable and can certainly get the room rumbling. As said, for the money, this unit will give the bigger boys like Sonos, B&O and Bowers and Wilkins a good run for their money when it comes to price vs money ratio.

Too much bass
Having played around with all the settings it seems this kit suffers the same problems as most soundbars. The sound quality is very clear but - the bass unit is way, way, way too powerful. The bar itself has no mid range. I'd hate be someone's neighbour when the kids crank it up. Having said that movies sound great.
