The knife is a beautifully handcrafted work of art. The polished brass accents on the handle add a nice touch. Handle and blade are ground at the same time so the handle is a seamless fit. Blade came sharp and is around 3/16" thick, very heavy duty. The sheath itself is very thick and tough leather with heavy stitching. The edges of the leather are lacquered to protect from moisture. It's a great, tough looking sheath with straps for multiple attaching options. Knife came well packaged in rust preventative paper and heavily oiled. I am very,very impressed for the money!It's going into the woods this weekend and we'll see how well it holds an edge and ease of resharpening but all in all this is a beautiful knife and sheath and not a common knife you'll see around.

Very nice knife for the money. The craftsmanship of this knife really surprised me to be honest. First of all it was packaged really good. A box, 4 layers of plastic and paper with the knife finally in an oiled plastic bag. I'm super impressed with the quality of the knife. It has a nice weight to it, and fits the hand well. I couldnt be happier. Also came w a sheath, very nice as well.

Maybe they’ve made some changes since some earlier reviews, but there’re very few flaws in the blade or handle. Very comfortable. The case, though I don’t believe is made specifically for this knife, fits well and is thick, well sewed leather.As far as Damascus steel goes, I don’t have enough knowledge to comment on that. Sure looks nice though. And the blade came with a quite sharp edge.

This isn't a 5 star knife, but I'm rating it 5 and I'll tell you why. For what you pay, there is a lot to work with. The knife arrived well packed, in oil, and with a tip protector. I believe this is actually damascus. The grips and pins are sanded smooth and are generally comfortable, albeit a little short. The mosaic pin is not a pin, but rather an inlay. Knife came sharp, with a coarser grind...easy fix. Sheath is again good quality considering the price, although I'll make one that fits my needs better. The blade itself is solid, and although I love the aesthetic of the notches in the spin, it weakens the blade. But let's be honest, this isn't a working knife. Some of the negatives I fixed was the choil felt sharp, so sanded that down. The grips ar the rear of the handle were sharp and created hot spot on palm, again, sanded that down and recontoured slightly. Fantastic bargain. Highly recommend. I'd love to see this same knife with a 7 inch blade and slightly longer handle to make a set

FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENTDO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!Now to the eye this knife is is beautiful. It is real Damascus and folded as listed.The problem is it's only a show case knife. They say it HRC tested from the 58-60 range.Most ppl have no way of testing and would know if the blade was hard unless they dropped. If dropped it will crack. I have access to an HRC machine at my dads work. We test all our knives. This particular knife tested at 26 On the HRC machine. Less then half of what's advertised. This knife is for looks only. If that's what u want then its nice n well made n real Damascus. Just very soft blade. And I'd b surprised if its even 1095 steel. You really want D2 steel if u r going to use a Busch knife. That's the best n my book. So they are FALSE ADVERTISING THIS PRODUCT THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. they went out of there way to say the knife had been tempered and hardened to catch ur eye n make u think 35$ is a good price for that. JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE ITEMS THAT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. ANDDDDDDDDDD! It was. BIG SURPRISE. Please buy ur knives from name brand companies. Most don't have access to the machine to test steel n this is y they do this. BUT I CAUGHT YOU. please advertise correctly or take down. Amazon should be ashamed of whomever makes these knives n sells them. Also notice the blade is not flat down the sides its a lil concave. Maybe the design but strange to me. I've never seen this. They also claim they tested this knife in factory in their FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. If they would of the blade would have 2 tiny puncture wounds/dents on each side right across from each other. CHECK YOURS, I bet there is none just like mine. If theda tested then these dots would be present. That's the only way to test it. Mine now has 2 dots where I tested it. And the curve in the blade made it very hard to test. There was onY one spot on the blade that I was able to make it work. MAYBE THEY MADE THIS STRANGE CONCAVE SHAPE TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO TEST. HMMMMMM. FOOD FOR THOUGHT. BUT 26 is very very soft. U can prob break it in half I f u put it n a vice n torque with pliers. I may try this on mine. The ADVERTISED 1095 (58-60HRC) tested steel u could only damage with diamond. ITS ASHAME THAT THIS KNIFE IS PERFECT ALL EXCEPT THEY DIDNT HARDEN THE STEEL. ALL THAT HARD WORK N DIDNT DO FINAL STEP. WASTE OF TIME. but again it is a knice knife. Just in usable. Won't even hold a sharp edge for 2 cuts. If you want a pretty knife to showcase then this is perfect knife and real. But if your ever doing Busch craft then you r in trouble LOL. GOOD LUCK TO U AND SORRY TO BREAK THE NEWS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT SCAMMED BESIDES ME.

I carry this knife with me on my hip and use it when I’m preparing a meal (chop vegetables, etc.) as well as cut my steak with it while I eat. Beautiful finish. I get compliments all the time. Only bad thing is the sheath. The knife is too loose!

Did not like that product did not match pictures within reason. The file work was not continue into handle as described, and handle not shaped very well to fit of blade. Condition of blade shown in pictures was disappointing, don't know if they are delaminations or just not enough time on the grinder. Blade bites into finger. Sheath was nice but leather was thinner than expected. Not much experience with Damascus but I would think the layering would continue into handle, in pictures it does not. In conclusion knife looks good on shelf.
