Stone protector.
This stuff is brilliant and leaves an amazing clear waterproof finish. I’ve used this on my walk in shower room. Non slip and goes on easily with a smaller roller. I just tipped some on then rollered it over. Left it for about 3 hours and it had all soaked in. Best of all the ones I’ve tried and will continue to use this. Out side patio next!

Good Product
I applied this to my Indian Sandstone patio (which was newly laid as part of a garden refurb). The reason I bought it was because I wanted to avoid stains and spills ruining the appearance of the sandstone The instructions are easy to follow. Because the sandstone is very porous and requires a second coat before the first coat has dried, I applied it to a section of about 4 paving slabs at a time with a brush so I could easily apply the 2nd coat without walking on the slabs already coated, and then proceeded with the next section. I had plenty of the product left over after covering 18 sq meters with 2 coats. I think it very slightly enhanced the natural colours of the sandstone and water now beads on the top, so it is definitely now water resistant. I also found that you can wipe off any spills like tomato ketchup straight away without any staining. So I think it is a good product and does the job. Hopefully it will last a couple of years or so before I need to re-apply it.

Easy, effective, looks good
On the advice of the builder who installed my Indian Sandstone 20 square metres patio I bought this to protect from stains. The instructions were clear, there’s more than a third left after two coats and the effect on the stone is immediate. The picture shows the difference between treated and untreated stone six hours after application (although the second coat was applied only 20 minutes after the first on a warm, dry day). I used a normal paint roller and tray, after scrubbing the patio with a washing up liquid detergent solution. Very happy, good value and does exactly what was promised.

Works well
This is easy to use, just brush the milky liquid on to the stone, slab, brick you want to water proof, leave it to dry for 3 hours in the warm weather or 6 hours if cold weather, main thing is to do on a dry day as you need 6 hours drying before any rain, on my slate I have rain just runs off as if there is an invisible barrier, it makes your slabs look better as you can see the colour better.

Seal and Secure
Duncurin has been trying out this stone sealant for the past few weeks courtesy of Sika and Vine.We have a fairly large patio to the rear of our house and this is in Indian stone. When it was first laid it looked fabulous but the years have not been kind nor have two fairly large trees that grow above and extend over said patio. For at least three seasons of the year the tress rain something down upon the patio and rather than a natural stone colour it usually looks like a burnt bread roll. Even worse than this when wet the sap from the trees turn this into an ice rink and it can be a very tricky business if one rushes over this without thinking how slippy it can get. I usually jet wash it at least a couple of times a year but I get the impression that this is a losing battle as the stone seems harder to get clean with each attempt and never comes back to its former colour with the exception of one or two slabs.I was thus very keen to try this sealant to see if it might assist me with keeping the patio one step ahead of the material that besmirches it. Here are some thoughts.Despite the poor weather I brushed the entire patio. I then jet-washed the whole thing and tried to get this as clean as possible. I then allowed it to dry for a few days - again as well as I was able, given the weather. As soon as it had dried as well as it was going to I went out there and brushed it again, left it for an hour or two and then applied this sealant. For the larger slabs I used a roller and for the smaller ones I used a brush. The sealant is clear and colourless. It is easy to use and does not have an irritating or objectionable smell. It is easy to apply and one can with just a little care get quite a high ‘build’ on the sealant. I also liked the way it searches into the pointing mortar as this also tends to turn very discoloured if it’s not been jet-washed for some time. Please see attached a couple of photos. The first shows the patio before jet-washing and the second after jet washing and after application of the sealant. As you can see from the photos some of the slabs come up nicely and others are irrevocably stained. I have resorted to cleaning solutions in the past and also one year toyed with the idea of brick acid but rejected this as I am sure its pretty foul stuff. I am therefore hoping that this sealant will at least preserve what natural stone finish I have left – and in my wildest of wild dreams make the jetting a little easier – we shall see.My other point is that it’s early days. The seal has only been on for a couple of weeks and I deliberately sealed half leaving the others unsealed to see if a difference appears as the season progresses and the trees come into leaf. For this reason and for now I have awarded the solution 4 stars but subject to Amazon filters would be very happy to update in a month or two. Many thanks

Excellent product
I used this on slate flooring. One coat after laying, then mixed the grout using the sealant and gave a second coat after grouting. The sealer did not change the look of the slate and has left a waterproof surface.Very quick and easy to apply with a brush then simply left to dry overnight.I have more flooring to lay and will definitely continue using this product.
