Great Sound! (especally for such a cute little guy)
What a SUPER little transistor radio!! The sound quality is better then any of the past radios twice It's size! It's almost equal to my Samsung phone. So clear so tiny & bringing it to date, the option to charge the little lithium battery inside w/a USB cable, a huge plus, not all 9yr olds can buy batteries. I've given this little guy to my helpful neighbors kids... "What that?" They ask...HA! Totally delighted. Just a super gift. I just bought another for myself in orange...since it's so small, need a color I can find when misplacing it...but forgot it's Fall...every leaf is orange!!! As a Babyboomer, the transfer was what we had... It's just such a great little stocking stuffer, birthday gift, a xmas gift for the mailman... just great, especally the price point & the color option. Brings me back to 1965.

Great little radio - and rechargeable!
Fantastic little radio! Stations come in clear and the best part is that you can recharge the batteries with the power cord that is included. No more buying replacement batteries. I have had many “transistor radios, but this one is by far the best. Wonderful little hand size radio for the price!

Compact, Reliable, and Surprisingly Powerful
The PRUNUS J-555 Pocket Radio is exactly what a pocket radio should be: small, simple, and dependable. It’s impressively compact but feels solid in the hand, not flimsy like many ultra-cheap radios. Reception on both AM and FM is excellent for the size. I’m able to pull in local stations clearly, and even weaker stations come through better than expected with minimal static. The sound quality is surprisingly good—clear, balanced, and loud enough for personal listening without distortion. One of the standout features is USB-C charging. It’s great not having to deal with outdated cables or disposable batteries. The charge life has been excellent so far, lasting multiple days with regular use. The tuning wheel is smooth and precise, the buttons are straightforward, and the headphone jack works perfectly. It’s ideal for travel, emergencies, walking, or just listening around the house. Overall, the PRUNUS J-555 delivers far more than you’d expect at this price point. A fantastic little radio that does exactly what it promises. Excellent for emergencies or daily use. Highly recommended.

Great little radio for camping. Loud, decent reception with antenna.
I'm pretty impressed with this little guy. The speaker is very loud and reception is also pretty good, unless you plug in headphones or speakers, then for whatever reason the radio stops using its antenna for reception and seems to use the headphone/speaker cable as its antenna like a 2010s MP3 player. Not ideal, and that's my only gripe. But, the built-in rechargeable battery and little flashlight are excellent additions that make this radio perfect for camping. Would buy again.

Fits in my lunch box for work. Great sound, and if you want -- it can get loud 😁 Convenient options of USB-C charge or AAA batteries 👍 Bonus flash light. AND it's cute!

Perfect radio
Great radio! Small , but powerful. 2 AAA and your all set. Been listening to station I can't catch on a big radio. I've paid more for radios not even half this good, great value! Speaker is great. Weighs less than my cell phone. Great durability. If you want a great radio at a great price! This is it!

Love this thing (updated - lasted 5 months)
I got this to take with me to work as a mail carrier. I haven’t used it at work yet but I used it while doing some chores at home last night. It has a very lo-fi sound which I actually love. It’s kind of nostalgic from when I was a kid before Spotify and mp3s and we just had cds and radio. It can get VERY loud for such a small device. It’s a lot smaller than I thought. Smaller than a smart phone. The signal was pretty good. The only complaint I have is that the battery indicator light was confusing to me. It shines red when the battery is good. Likewise, the charging light is blue when charging and off when fully charged. There’s no green light. It’s just a little counterintuitive- I thought that something was wrong with the battery when that red light was shining. But it’s all good. I love this little radio!! Update: 5 months later. I used the heck out of this thing almost all day every day for 5 months. I plugged it in to charge and half an hour later smelled a strange chlorine like smell in my house. Welp, the radio was melting. Not sure what happened but the charging port got so hot that it melted the top of the radio and needless to say it is now dead and useless. Just glad nothing caught on fire. I hate disposable products and putting more plastic in a landfill, but I guess I definitely got $20 worth of use out of this for 5 months!

Its a great little radio with fabulous sound for such a small footprint. Uses a Type C USB, not micro so, less stress on the radio imput. The radio has two different sources of power. Build in power or flip a switch and 2 AAA a batteries give back up power. I keep a set of batteries in the bay. Plug in to your charger to recharge; but, if you have a power bank the radio also plays while charging. I like the three little lights, blue 💙 tells you the radio is charging, red ♥️ tells there is battery power to the radio and the green 💚 shows you when the radio station is tuned in. It's a must for your go bag along with a power bank for when your power goes dow or a quick bug out.

Have you purchased pocket-sized radios in the past with so many features, buttons and switches that you could never remember what did what - and never used or wanted to use any of the superfluous options? If you would prefer a good little radio that is easy to carry, even easier to operate and has no other bobbles except listening to the radio (either AM or FM) - this wonderful little gem is just for you. It is so easy to fugure out how to use that one doesn't even need to consult the included instructions. There's a selector switch on the bottom left for AM or FM tuning (also the on-off switch). On the top left, there's a switch for the useful little flashlight on the top. On the right hand side, the bottom dial is for volume - and the top botton is for station selection - and that's it! You will find the tuning botton to be a bit stiff, which is undoubtedly intended to select and securely stay tuned to whatever radio station one wishes to listen to. The radio can be powered by two AAA batteries (not included) are charged with a USB cord, which is actuallly included. There's a wrist strap and a picket clip included to provide different ways of carrying the radio. One can also listen either with headphones or by means of the external speaker. For a radio of its size, the speaker is surprisingly good. The seller's description of the radio as 'being the size of a credit card' is a bit confusing. This is an accurate description of its length and width, but the depth is thicker. Finally perhaps, and this is just a personal recommendation, should you have diminished vision or just want to be able to easily locate this small radio in your home or elsewhere, I suggest you order the bright orange model. All in all, this is the easiest to use radio I have seen in decades. So, special thanks to the manufacturer - and also to Amazon, for offering this marvellous item.

I can’t believe on how great this little radio works. It’s amazing on how much good sound this unit puts out considering its size. It’s replacing a very good Panasonic pocket radio that I had for years that died and I’m very pleased with how it performs. It pulls in a great deal of stations with great audio and stability. I like the ability to charge and as well as having battery backup.
