Zylkene Capsules 100 x 450mg

My new, retired greyhound has separation anxiety and can be vocal when I'm out. On advice from the vet, I bought Adaptil spray and plug-in, as well as these capsules. They can easily be sprinkled on her food. From Day One, they started to make a difference! I've been recording her and right away she made a lot less noise, with longer intervals between barks/howls. It's only been just over two weeks and the difference is remarkable, still a few outbursts but I'm sure she falls asleep for periods as well. Whether it's just these capsules or the Adaptil, I'm not sure, but would highly recommend them!

My [husky] is aggressive towards other dogs. This appears to stem from anxiety. She appears a little less anxious since taking Zylkene regularly. However, it is costly and I don't think the higher dose [450mg] is more effective than the lower dose, so after the supply of 450mgs that I bought recently I'll probably go back to the lower disae. It's not a panacea of course and I also take her to training classes and accept that i don't think she'll ever be a dog that's generally comfortable with others. I might add however that she's wonderful with people - of any age..bobies, children, adults - not phased by any and friendly towards all!

I have a 6yr old who is very anxious always has been, got told about these when she was younger but decided to seek a behaviorist first it did help but got told there is nothing that could be done for her anxiety, after we moved i found she was very stressy being left, not like shes alone now but on the zylkene shes like so quiet and doesnt make a huge fuss when we come home shes just doing great, though the capsules she has spat out occassionally but she does that with any medicine, but on the zylkene she travels better in the car no pacing, just be nice if something could be done for her being so hyper and the excessive barking but the zylkene defiantly helps on the anxiety front

I am sure it would work if only I could persuade my dog to take the medicine. I bought them under the impression that I was getting tablets, as advertised, that I could break up and bury in a piece of cheese or similar and instead I got capsules, which I specifically didn't want as my dog is a fussy eater and will not touch the food with the powder from the capsules, or much less take the capsules whole. It seems to me that if you tell us we are buying tablets, and we chose them as such, then that's what we should get and not capsules!

A good tool to have in the box! Now only used for firework time and other stressful times. Used to use it all the time, but I think it stopped working too well, it seems to do a better job when just brought out when really necessary. You do need to start a couple of weeks before the event minimum to get the benefit. Worth trying if you have a stressed dog.

My old girl Molly has recently lost the plot and gets very distressed and noisy. So far zylkene has apparently eased her condition and greatly improved her quality of life {and that of my neighbours!}

Photo, descriptions says 100x450gm, got 20x75gmOn the outer packaging label and the description says 100 x 450mg for large dogs. On opening it's 20 x 75gms for small dogs.
