Zenitech Maglite ML150LR LED rechargeable torch,Black,210mm

For many years us older Maglite users have craved a torch which will give us a high light output LED and Lithium battery efficiency but coupled with Maglite build quality and practicality.Well crave no more..This Maglite ML150LR is a superficially similar to the 38 yr old Maglite MagCharger. Smaller and lighter overall it retains the charging cradle and two ring stroke of genius contact system concept allowing for quick insertion or removal into its charging cradle, the Type III anodising and the very high build quality and paint work of the original.But of course there's also been a host of improvements such as a high output LED giving up to 1082 Lumens of light output ,a quck focus system to adjust the beam from spot to flood a high efficiency Lithium Iron Phosphate battery and a massively improved charge and run time. It also has a much more reliable solid state switch and the ability to program it without the need for a computer. Unlike virtually all its competitors this Maglite ML150LR allows the beam to be focused from a flood to a high intensity spot. It is supplied with the charging cradle, mains adapter, battery and a in car adapter.In use it produces a powerful ,brilliant white beam with no sickly green colour cast seen elsewhere. Despite the power, it is pocketable via a large 'Hoodie' type pocket and is substantially built enabling shall we say 'other uses'. It also reintroduces the Maglite 'doughnut' beam at the extreme flood end of the head setting but this can be dialled out without too much of a problem.Is it perfect?Not quite.This torch despite all the new tech heat sink etc runs hot. And I mean HOT after a few mins of full power use. This goes for all LED torches but this is probably the hottest running torch I've come across.It would be nice if Maglite were to provide a glass rather than a plastic front lens and a metal rather than a plastic reflector. But these are minor points.Overall this is easily my favourite torch out of the dozen or so that I own and would strongly recommend as a once in a very long time purchase.It has brought Maglite right into the 21st Century.

This item was the result of a lot of procrastination and research. I have a decent stream light already but I was drawn by the convenience of coming with a charging dock. Well that was a bust to start with as it’s delivered with a USA plug. That’s lost a few points however I bought an adaptor and gave it a charge. Long story short, it doesn’t hold much charge at all. Maybe the charger dock is necessity rather than convenience. And the power of the ligh is poor. My 2 year old streamlight (that was half the cost) is 4 times as powerful. They are t even comparable. Overall it was delivered not matching description, cost me extra money and after all that was very disappointing in use. 3/10 - buy something else

Had several Maglite torches over the years. They are all still going strong Bought this re-chargeable torch to modernize and for convenience of charging. Charger broke and wont work despite looking after it carefully. Sadly the rechargeableMaglite is not up to the high standards I have come to expect from Maglite. You pay a premium price, you expect a premium product. Very disappointed.

My last maglite’s 15 years old and hasn’t faltered but the specs on this model made it time to upgrade - can’t fault this new model so far. Was prepared for a non UK plug based on some reviews and was pleasantly surprised that it does include a UK plug

Superb product. Unbelievably bright and useful to have dimmed beam when required.

The brand name implies quality but the torch is cheaply made and flimsy. The charger is easily broken, light weight and plastic.

The product deserves 4 stars (bought down because of cash value) a big negative however is the adapter. I now have to go out and buy another one because the one supplied is for a EU socket. At this price I'd expect it to have a UK adapter.
