I've been a delighted owner of the F3 for more than a year. However, the recessed 1/4" thread was definitely an issue that took me multiple thread spacers/adapters to overcome for the simple purposes of attaching the recorder to various supports. This accessory COMPLETELY solves the issue and makes the F3 so much more versatile and easy to attach to pretty much anything I want—especially with its inclusion of multiple female receivers of different thread sizes. I love that the design of the plate makes use of the Zoom's strap bars and recessed underside in a way that adds nothing to the overall size/bulk of the recorder. This is genius. Can't say enough good things about this accessory! Honestly, I think it should come standard with every F3.

This is exactly what the Zoom F3 has needed. Attach this plate, stick a Sony battery on and you're good to go for many hours without paiuse. This is the kit I use for grabbing a board mix during long concerts.

My ZOOM F3 is great but I never did trust that single 1/4-20 socket on the back to survive rough use. This plate hugs tight to the recorder. It makes the thing nearly bulletproof. I can mount it on a just about anything or use a strap and wear it.

I don't think I've ever had a rig piece fit this precisely-not even a camera cage. The fit was impeccable. Moreover, more came in the box than I was expecting. I guess sometimes not reading the product description in detail can be a pleasant surprise. Now my F3 is ready to rig. It even has a mounting option on the thin edge! Smallrig may have expanded to offer to many (3rd party?) accessories of lower quality lately. But, it's good to see their still great at manufacturing their machined rig parts.

The plate attaches snuggly to a Zoom F3 via a screw and built-in clamps. With this attachment, I was able to securely mount my F3 onto a cheese plate. The build quality is superb and worked perfectly for a camera rig I built for my Sony FS700.
