Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Vol. 5 (Volume 5)

Magi is my favorite anime and I have not been disappointed by the manga at all. Some things are different than in the anime, and it's very interesting to find those differences. The drawings are also amazing. All the books I ordered so far arrived within the time expected and were in great condition.

Magi (The Labyrinth of Magic) volume 5 contains chapters 38 to 48.It is rated T for teen as it contains some suggestive themesVolume 5 continues the Balbadd arc. Aladdin, Alibaba, and Morgiana are back together and Alibaba reveals his past and more about the current state of Balbadd. Sinbad overhears and being the amazing guy he is (I'm biased) can't just sit back and do nothing. As you can guess from the cover, Judar appears! He shows off his skills after he gets into a fight with Aladdin but then something strange happens to Ugo.The action is really starting to pick up now as we see the power of Magi and we got a lot of new information in this volume. But as always we are left on a cliffhanger, the next volume can't come soon enough!

Another splendid volume in this series! This time things take a darker turn and we don't have much humour as action and battling is the order of the day here. Focusing in on Alibaba and Sinbad, mostly, we start off with a background story then quickly come back to the action at hand which is a land, Balbabb, in turmoil. Various factions are fighting against the rotten King and in turn, Alibaba finds himself challenged against multiple, um, challengers! The cast has become larger now, everyone is together and even though the focus is on someone else the others still all make appearances and have input. My mind wandered a little as all the, shall we say political, situations were explained but it is necessary to the overall plot. So not my favourite volume but still a fine entry with a worrisome cliffhanger ending!

One of the best manga I have ever read. The anime is really good too. :)
