Nice temporary fix for cable rub points
The Jagwire tube top protectgors fit well and did reduce the number of cable rub scratch points on my wife's new mountain bike. Although the bike will get it's share of bumps and chips, at least the nice glossy white frame will not have black cable rub scratches at all the rub points. I gave this item 4 stars since the protectors do work good but they also look a little out of place on the bike maybe since it's a white bike and size small. Also, I did finally find what I hope to be a cleaner fix with some clear dot sheet frame protectors from frameskin..com which has dots that actually clear and do not have have little lizard logos all over them like the LizardSkins product (which I also purchased but could bring myself to install on the bike). I'll update this post after I receive my order of dot sheets that is coming from Australia.

Great little productfrom Jagwire
This product is truly a frame-saver. If you have a new, shiny carbon frame bike (or even if you have an old one) and it did not come with these little tube protectors, do yourself (and your frame) a favor and get a set.The derailleur and brake cable housings on your bike will rub against part of the frame, mostly the the headtube, chain stays and seat post. This constant rubbing will evently leave a mark on the tube. If it goes on long enough, it may even rub the paint off. Protect your bike's frame against cable housing rub and get these frame protectors, they are cheap and go on easily. Do it and do it now! PS: The same comments apply if you have a steel or aluminum frame, they are not just for carbon frames.

every bike should come with frame protectors...
...unfortunately, many bicycles do not have these installed as original equipment. As you ride, the cables bounce and rub the frame, removing paint and leaving scuff marks. The contact also makes noise, which can be annoying when you go down a bumpy road.If your new bike didn't come with these, get some now. Some bikes don't need four depending on how your cables are routed and how much slack they have, but most will need at least three.I like that these are made in enough colors for most any color of cables. It would be nice if Amazon grouped them all together, but you can easily search and find the colors you need. Black is of course the most common.

Wish they were just a tiny bit bigger
They are soft on your frame and go on quite easily. I wish they were just a little bigger as there is a gap about 1/8" wide on the backside. They seem to stay put pretty well but I do have one rotating around so the open side is against the frame. It's still protected, but they take a little bit of periodic adjustment.

Works, But Falls Off Easily
My brake lines started rubbing the finish off of my fork so I decided to try these. They do their job and keep the finish protected. They do however fall off easily. I lost one on a trail the first time I went out. I decided to wrap a piece of electrical tape around the next one to keep it from falling off. This solved the problem and I haven't lost another one.

Great Product
These work great! Just snap them on. I also use some auto vinyl or electrical tape on rub spots. These should be original eqipment on bikes when you buy them!! More people should know about these. I asked at 2 different local bike shops and niether one knew what I was talking about. I then remembered why I buy 90% of my bike parts at Amazon. I like to support local when I can, but I love Amazon for the vast selection!!!

These are ok
I put these on, and they protect well, but some of them like to move around really easily. I just replaced my cable housing with a Jagwire cable kit that came with ones that you slip on, and go all the way around the housing, and don't move. These snap on but have a slit down the side (how else could you just snap them on?)

Good idea and easy to snap it onto cable
Good idea and easy to snap it onto cable. I should bought the 5.5mm I.D. ones to reduce its gaps at split after place it over brake/shifter cable. This little soft rubber piece cost too much, otherwise I would give four stars.

Very pleased with these
Sorted out my cable chafing and stopped the irritating noise that this created. Also, jagwires are a tight fit on the cable which means that they don't wander. Very pleased with these.

They fitted easily
I've recently added these to a new carbon frame (matt finish). I use these in combination with some small strips of helicopter tape (again - matt finish). They fitted easily and have, so far, stayed in place although they don't fully close together on the brake cables. They have reduced a small amount of cable slap that I was experiencing. So, they seem a worthwhile, decent addition BUT... massively overpriced for what they are.Half the price would be ample.

Five Stars
Brilliant for protecting your bias paint and stopping rattling cables.

No more frame rub
Stays put and protects the frame from cable rub. I would also buy black personally as I have had lighter colours such as white before and they look very dirty after no time.
