This is an excellent book. It did arrive slightly creased (emphasised by the fact that I recently bought the author's books to the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales on the back of this books, which were pristine in condition - not bought through Amazon but a third party seller, Rigu who were really helpful). It shows nearest car parks, often with just the map references rather than SATNAVs although I think that this may be because the areas are too large being rural-ish to be much help. It also gives sunrise and sunset times. The most useful bit might be small maps which show certain photo opportunities in relation to each other so that you could combine a trip with 2 or 3 photo opportunities, in addition to those you find yourself of course! It is A5 in size which is a useful size but I think that the cover could have been laminated and more thought given to the binding which is a bit tight so that if you wish to photocopy just where you are walking to take it with you, this is difficult. However, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages and brought my attention to areas that I was unfamiliar with (I know the Peak District quite well). All in all, a fab book!

A must for anyone wanting to explore the Peaks
As a beginner to landscape photography, I found this book after discovering the Peak District and having a keen interest in getting myself lost there! I figured I needed a little guidance to enjoying my days out instead of worrying whether I'll get home that night or not.I have to say, this book is fantastic! From the locations for parking, to noting exact points to crossing rivers where they're low, the instructions are very easy to follow and the timings are spot on! I also like how locations are grouped together in areas, makes it a lot easier to link several spots in to one trip. It's small and light enough to carry around with you, and contains all the information you'll need to plan togging days out.I'll definitely be investing in other books in the series.

Still good after so many years
I bought this book a couple years ago and the information there is still as relevant as it used to. As a hobby photographer I could only afford to travel to the Peak District a few days a year so many locations mentioned in the book remain unexplored. This is a must-have not only for photographer but for anyone who wants to experience what the Peak District has to offer.

An invaluable resource
I bought this book as part of my preparation for a weeks photography in the Peak district National park which I did in November 2014. The book is excellent for preparing a plan. It contains details of locations that are perfect for a landscape photographer, many would not easily be found using normal research. Particularly useful and time saving are the British Grid map references for both car parks and the location. There is a very useful table at the rear of the book that rates the difficulty in reaching the location for the car park and the relative photographic value of the location, great for us older folk to gauge the effort needed before we set out. The details on how to get to each location are concise and nearly always helpful. I thoroughly recommend this book and I plan to purchase others in the series in the near future. Here is a link to some shots I produced using the book as a primary source of guidance. http://www.tonesshots.com/galleries/featured-recent-shoots/autumn-peaks-2014/

Perfect gift for the photographer
My husband loves this series of books and we often make a trip out to see some of the suggested locations. Another great edition of the series, looking forward to continuing to add more in the future.
