Not a huge fan in both design and manufacturing process.
*Cue in the Gamers Nexus intro reel, Please internalise the neutral, sermon-toned reading level of Steve Burke once you manage to start reading this review.*This product is more or less a trendy "alt-plastic" straw that is attempting to address an issue while there is very little supply *or* demand for commercial composting sites. A lot of the product's marketing is misleading. (Much more than you think.)Sifting through the fundamental design flaws that allow it to have microtears with almost *no* movement in as little as a day and as much as three days on average (ergo swallowing more air than water, which is very unpleasant), you'll end up finding out quickly on how *and* why these straws aren't exactly fixing our "plastic problem".These are made from a byproduct of a natural ingredient, such as corn, which ends up giving it its "plastic-like" look. The main problem behind this is since there is a severe *lack* of commercial composting sites, it'll eventually end up in the landfill where it will likely take between a century to perhaps above a millennia to break down, as recent research about this subject indicates. This interesting product is a novel concept, but one that is *not* backed by fundamental science and does not have *any* means of properly disposing or recycling these straws, and is the proposed right product at *the worst time*.Ergo, you're not really saving the planet any more than using plastic straws by buying these alt-plastic straws. Otherwise, it is an "in-betweener" between paper and plastic. Remember that just because something is organic or has been made by an organic product, doesn't necessarily mean it's good for you *or* the planet. (Protip: used coffee grinds in the soil *inhibit* other plants' growth and may put earthworms in harm's way due to its caffeine content, though it can make great compost. In nature, coffee plants purposefully drop its berries to prevent other plants from growing around it, ergo it has a better chance to grow.)

Not plastic!!
I am trying to do my small drop in the bucket part for the planet as well as for my own body. It’s impossible to completely divorce ourselves from plastic unless we can avail ourselves of a time machine and go way back. And I admit as a modern day human I too am guilty of enjoying the conveniences plastic has brought to our world. I just don’t think we need quite as much of it as we are using. I feel like if each one of us could cut back even just a little bit on our plastic use it would help us each individually healthwise...and contribute to the longevity of our planets ecological system and its very survival. So its plant based straws for me.......and I use the same one all day long, rinse it thoroughly and use it the next day and the next and the next...... these are some sturdy straws! They will last me a really long time. I’m not sure how much they stand up to other beverages. I only use them to drink water. I also love that they’re flexible!

Terrible
Every single one I tried to use had a slit in it and wouldn't work.. I'm not sure if they were old and if that makes a difference or what. But they were all completely unusable.

Product is good, delivery was timely, but shipping package was inadequate.
Product is good, delivery was timely, but shipping package was inadequate. The straws are in lightweight boxes as provided by the manufacturer. That’s ok, but they were then shipped in an envelope and arrived squashed flat. Should have been shipped in a box!

Amazing straws that actually work and won't wreck our planet!
I love these straws! As a mom of 2 young kiddos, we do use straws for certain liquids. I don't like regular straws because they are so harmful to the environment (animals, the ocean, etc.). We've tried paper straws but they don't work well for things like smoothies - they get soggy really fast and start to get mushy on both ends. They are also not bendy, which makes them harder to use for my youngest. Not ideal. These straws are amazing! They hold up really well, they bend perfectly, and you would never know they are compostable! I am super excited about these for birthday parties, picnics, lemonade stands, and other events where straws and cups are used for larger groups. This will cut down on waste by a lot! I try really hard to make good choices to teach my kids how to do the same - and to help protect our planet. This is an easy choice for me! Give these straws a try - you will not regret it! Big win for anyone who wants (or needs) to use straws but also wants to do right by our planet. Enjoy! :)

Plant-Based instead of Plastic
I've been concerned about excessive straw use for a long time now. I have no problem with take out/fast food drinks, but when you sit in a restaurant and your water comes with a straw, then your soft drink, then your soft drink refill comes with a new straw, it's all such a waste. I personally decrease my one-time straw use by carrying reusable straws in my purse or when I sit at a fast casual restaurant, I don't use a straw at all and drink from the cup. However, I know this isn't an option for a lot of people, so I'm glad to have found and stock Repurpose straws in my house to use for family and friends. They are plant-based, compostable & will break down in weeks instead of never. They're actually durable like regular straws (I even use them multiple times), are flexible & bend for kid use, and don't break down like paper straws do. I find them a fantastic and comparable alternative to standard plastic straws.

Plant-based straws are a great alternative for those who need to use it on a regular basis.
Eliminating the use of plastic straws in our daily lives has been quite a difficult journey honestly. I recently switched to this product, carrying it in my bag wherever I go and refusing to use other straws. I feel much better about myself & as a contributor towards building a plastic-free community. They are soft and easy to use. I found them much flexible than regular straws and the fact that they are plant-based & 100% compostable rules out everything for me. A little bit on the expensive side to buy a personal pack of straws and requires great efforts having to refuse using the regular ones (free of cost) but i feel this is a great alternative towards reducing use of plastics and aiming towards much greener environment. 10 on 10 for brands/enterprises making efforts to eliminate use of plastics and finding alternatives like such.
