Really wanted to like this product, it fit all my requirements. I had a very small in wall media box, which i have very limited space. I needed minimum of 9 ports (1 uplink), but not a lot of manufacturer create a 10 port or 12 port. It's usually 8 > 16 > 24. While 16 would be fine, but their sizes are usually much larger than what I can fit in the media housing.This 12 +2 was perfect. It was perfect size to fit in the media cabinet.Received on Xmas eve, and excited to get this up and running on day.But... what a disappointment --Packaging was fine, instructions usually, i would not need it if they are plug-n-play... this device, however, far from it.Plugged it in, powered on! Saw LED come on -- its RED, but maybe that is the only color -- OKStarted plugging in all the other 8 cables in, LED comes on -- its RED -- OK...Checked some of the devices that required the POE, they're also on --However, they're not connected to the internet.... checked my Unifi Controller and saw that the connections were 100FDX... saw ok, but at least there is power, thinking to myself maybe there is a setting to switch them to 1gbs.Nope, checked my router to see what the IP of the switch is... that is where it all went to HELL... the switch wasn't getting an IP address from the router... there was no way for me to even get to any admin.There are no instructions bout it... there is no info online, there is no info on the small little instruction... it mentions all their other SWITCHES but the 12+2 POE switch.No mention of RED LED... only Yellow and Green.I can only imagine what would happen should I encounter issues in the future where I would need support -- there is no info whatsoever on this device.Spent 2 hours trying to troubleshoot. I am done. This is going back.

AC power cord died after 2 months of use. I probably moved or unplugged the unit 10 times or less during the time I've had it. I swapped it out with a replacement cord and the unit is up and running again. But this adds to the overall cost and was not what I was expecting.

Switch works perfect out of the box. Just plug in and go.

Purchased this item in October of 2018 and it worked fine. At the end of April, the power supply quit working. The light was red and there was a clicking noise from it. I contacted the seller to find out about getting a replacement power supply. It seems they cannot answer mail sent to them. In the meantime, I have a switch that is deader than M.C. Hammer's career. I, unfortunately, cannot recommend this item due to the above.

The device was well built and the price made it a great deal. I will buy again if needed.
