The cord is long enough to switch to different places on body.It has a timer and an intensity choice. I’ve had a lifetime of back and neck problems and I am eager to put this device to use because apparently it can help even with chronic issues! I love that there is a heat function so I can use it without my clothes on for maximum effectiveness and still be warm. It’s plenty large enough for my whole back and I have wide shoulders. The cord should allow for me to sit in any chair near an outlet comfortably.I do have to note that the device makes an almost imperceptible buzzing sound when it is on and some people might be bothered by that. Also, if you’re sitting next to a wall or surface that can reflect the led lights, if you choose the pulse mode you can definitely be distracted by the flashing lights.
