Good, but not great, resource
I have several books about forest bathing and while this is a good book, it's focus is on the Japanese customs and why it's significant to their culture. It's interesting, but I was hoping for a little more science - how Japan and other countries proved the positive aspects, what they're specific findings were and such. So, yes, it's a good read but more of a fluff book than research. It has beautiful photographs and is motivational to connect with nature, but if you're looking for research and science, look for a biphilia book. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: You'll find somewhat conflicting information in every book you read. It's a growing science, so lots of interpretation with the information. Regardless, it's a subject worth looking into.

Inofrmative
This well written, informative look at forest bathing, which began in Japan was enjoyable to read. The Japanese author is an expert on the subject. I loved the section on "bringing Nature indoors." Plants, wood ceilings, floors and furniture if apppealing can be calming. Also, time spent in an urban park can be just as calming as time spent in a forest. Nature is one God's finest gifts to us. The research shows that time spent in nature has healing benefiits. As Kihluul Gibban says, "Trees are poems that nature writes upon the sky."

What we need more of!
Reading about Shinrin-yoku has made me realize so much about my connection with nature. This book is full of amazing statistics & feels like a walk in the forest as you turn each page. We need this more than ever right now!

Easy read, pleasant
Lovely photos. Good overview and some history but I wish there were more details about how forest bathing is done in Japan now.

Very well done.
Yoshifumi Miyazaki has written a nice and full overview of Japanese forest bathing. The book itself is beautiful from design to photography. The content is very good.

Shinrunyuko
Bit too technical, thought it would be about places to visit. More a medical book than travel but glad I read it.
