Reasonable quality plastic coated multi strand wire. I'm not sure what metal is used, it's not copper - maybe aluminium.Just what I need for various power hookups for LED lighting projects etc.

Ok so I'm not going to count the strands, etc, but in terms of other measurements etc, it all seems to match the listing.If you've got project that needs this gauge wiring, well you could do a lot worse. The insulation is the kind of hard plastic kind, so pretty durable, and you shouldn't need to worry too much about it rubbing through.

This item is not 8 gauge wire, do not purchase if you need 8 gauge.would be a fire risk if used as an 8 gauge equivalent.

Wire is very flexible which makes threading through awkward routes easier.It has a rubbery texture, which feels like silicone but the listing says PVC.The wires are CCA which does not have as good properties as copper, but it keeps the cost and the weight down a bit.

This 16AWG (1.5mm²) cable arrived in a plastic bag inside a sturdy cardboard box. The red and black cables are joined together in a 100ft length. They’re easily separated so you get 100ft of each colour.The cable is CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) and it won’t have the strength, conductivity or flexibility of pure copper cable so it’s not suitable for very long runs, where it will be subjected to mechanical stress or for carrying signals. However, it’s fine for basic low voltage wiring. It strips easily and solders well.I’ve only used this so far to wire in some extra switches in my car where it will only be carrying a couple of amps at most and it’s been fine for that.This cable is fine for basic auto wiring and at £15.69 it’s reasonably priced. I’ve had no problems using it so it gets 5 stars.

It's exactly what it says it is.

I’ve used this wire to connect my amp to my speakers and the amp to the CD player. This wire is easy to cut and work with. I’ve not had any audio issues using it. It comes in a cardboard box, so is easy to store.
