Great Quality, Lots of Ice, Runs Continuously
Great little under cabinet ice maker especially for the money. Nice looking SS cabinet that was well covered in shipping so no blemishes. No problems with damages and so far no operational issues, I just plugged it in and it started making ice and hasn’t stopped. And along that line you need to know that this ice maker utilizes an internal water reservoir and recirculating pump to build ice in the tray cubes so while it’s making ice, which is continuous unless you turn it off or it fills up the bin, the pump is pumping water and it sounds just like a dishwasher running. The noise isn’t so much loud as it is monotonous and it also reminds us that it’s using power basically all the time, both of which still get on our nerves a bit therefore the four star rating vs five. We have it at our beach condo so we’re not there often enough for this to be a big deal, but if it were in our full time residence it might be different. I do like the unit and recommend it though and it makes a lot of nice cubed ice. I bought plastic bags and I bag it a few times a day and transfer that to a freezer or cooler for fishing. I did have it professionally installed which I recommend as well even if you’re a DIY person like myself. I also bought and had a water filter installed and I think this helps extend the like and makes the ice taste better too. Finally I do like the internal condensate drain pump feature on this unit. Much cleaner install than using a separate condensate pump! Good Luck and Enjoy!

Make sure you have other ice makers in your refrigerators working for a back up
The unit makes ice in sheets and unless you have a small meat tenderizer hammer you have to use the scoop that’s included to break up the ice. I called the company a couple of times to try to get answers to questions but their phone system and response time is terrible. This unit is only good for a home , not a small business as stated and should be able to freeze better so that it doesn’t have to make ice so often. We are only hopeful that the unit will last long.
