Good quality wax for mixing
This wax arrived in 2 days in good shape. The flakes were pure and I mixed it with an equal part bees wax in hot mineral oil as a final finish for wood. The carnauba melted clear with the bees wax but at a higher temperature, so when all was melted and blended I shook the jars into which I poured the mixture until it became thick to keep the 2 waxes from separating. I had sealed the wood (maple, walnut, cherry, white oak, and white pine) with shellac on various pieces I had made. After cooling, the mixture was amber and buttery. I applied it to my work pieces by rubbing it on with with clean rags. After about 20 minutes I buffed them with micro fiber cloths and the result was better than I could have hoped for. The wax mixture created a beautiful, deep luster. The hardness of the carnauba enabled a shine that bees wax alone does not, and should protect the prices well. I recommend this product and technique to any serious maker of beautiful wooden objects. Mine included keepsake boxes, dodecahedra, and a hanging wall cabinet with drawers. I also applied the mixture directly to some finely sanded kitchen utensils and cutting boards I had made, to which I had liberally applied mineral oil a few days before. All sold at a crafts fair yesterday for far more than the same things I had sold in the past because they looked so beautiful.

Wood butter
I use this in my wood cutting board butter and this wax is very good. Melts easily and creates a nice protective layer on my wood products.

Added to beeswax
Higher melting point, but adds a great shine and hardness to my beeswax mixture.

Good wax for many uses, I use it for protecting my knives and handles
Nice flakey carnuba wax and I use it to protect m blades and coat the wooden handles on my knives, price was fine and it does what I need it to do, and it puts a hard protective coating over my knife blades and the wood, good product and food safe

Works well and good price
I only used this ones or twice but worked well for soap making. You get a lot for the price and it doesn’t have a weird odor.

Not the best for lip balms, makes them gritty
This is a good wax, I am sure, but it is juts not good for lip balm creation. This wax will produce very Gritty feeling lip balms. I still have to try it on regular body Salves, and maybe it works great for that purpose, but I made two different batches of lip balms, and both times the result was gritty, rough feeling lip balms, that to me feel unpleasant and I had to throw them away. I think Cacao Butter or Mango Butter work so much better and produce a smooth, silky lip balm, so it depends on what you will use this for. Car wax, or maybe a body salve, ok, just do not use it for lips.

Smooth ingredient for my lotion bars
I love the smooth feeling this provides to my lotion bars. Also, it doesn't melt in the Hotter valleys of California. I wish I could get a bigger bag.

Makes great lip balm
I made vegan lip balm with this product (1 tbsp of this wax, 1 tbsp of coconut oil, 1 tbsp hemp oil melted over double boiler). Melted really nice in the double boiler. I use less product in making my own lip balm than I have with commercial products. I only apply twice a day - with store products, every half hour and this wax is the key. I've tried to just use coconut oil as a lip balm, but it would wear off too quick. This stuff is great!
