The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook Special Deluxe Gift Edition Hardcover – January 1, 2013

I was disappointed with the results after the first recipe I tried! The cake turned out a lot more dense than I expected. I may be doing something wrong since I have a friend who swore by this book but I am now doubtful! Also the process was a lot longer then expected so make sure you have time. I think it would have been more helpful to include images of the process too.

I look forward to the coconut cake especially. This has wonderful cupcake recipes and is full of old favorites of mine.

The best of the hummingbird books with some lovely recipes. The first of mine was damaged in shipping, however immediately rectified and a new book was sent. Just be aware all the measurements are in american cups so if you don't have a set of measuring cups at home, i would suggest either purchasing a set or you have to convert each time like i did..

This book was purchased for a gift to someone who is training to be a baker and who requested this book and who has personally tried and tasted their products at The Hummingbird stores who are amazing bakers. Looking through the book it is very informative, colourful pictures with excellent instructions and tips.
