I was looking for a lightening cable to have in my car for keeping my phone charged. When I was offered the opportunity to review this pack of 2 Coiled Lightning Cables, I was more than happy to test them out.I’ve been using them for more than a month now and they are very good quality. They charge quickly and plug into the usb socket in my car easily. I have been using one for my iPhone and kids have used the other for their iPad, without any issues! They are compact for storage, yet stretchy for when in use. Designed for CarPlay and data sync, these coiled cables are ideal for use in the car, as they ensure seamless CarPlay performance. Overall the cables are sturdy, and a practical choice for anyone seeking a tangle-free charging solution for their Apple devices.

Firstly, these do their main job of charging well. No issues with temperamental cable or connector that doesn't like to be moved or risk losing connection. You can plug this in and happily use the phone at the same time.The cable does extend nicely thanks to the curls but collapses nicely when there's no tension on it. This is ideal for my son who's phone has to be paired to a bluetooth tracker for car insurance - he can tuck the phone away while driving and the cable does not interfere with anything. This would work for other scenarios too.They seem well made, and have no obvious weaknesses around the connector ends - only time will tell if they hold up to regular use, but so far we're really happy with them

In spite of the advertisement showing this device is compatible with iPhone 15 and 16 I have found that it will not work using the Y-DISK App with any device while using a USB C connector. No connection with iPhone 15 or 16 or Mini iPad 7. It did however work with an old iPhone 5. Do not buy this if you want to use the App and an Apple connection using USB C.

The software this uses it very poor

These cables work as expected and are great for connecting my iPhone to my car’s entertainment system. No problems with connection, and the coiled cable means it’s not getting in the way in the car.

These little lightning-charging leads are well-made, the materials have a premium feel and they look like they are made to last, they fit nice and snuggly into any USB outlet and because of their design, they look much more tidy than long trialling leads. These are suitable for a car where you don't want or need long cables flopping about, but they are equally a good choice for charging via a laptop or power bank on a train etc.
