Great stuff!
I'd recently got to my usual point of frustration with my beard and was about to shave it off and start over, again, when a friend said, "Try some beard oil." But I don't wanna be a hipster, do I have to wear suspenders and skinny-jeans with that? Okay, fine, what's cheap and not too much of a commitment? Well Hello there, sampler gift set.My beard is coarse and straight (and red, ftw) and my skin is ridiculously sensitive to, well, basically EVERYTHING. First day with the Duckbutter, I was expecting the worst. Happy news, this stuff is awesome! It takes a lot of the itch out of my beard, and makes it more 'trainable'. The scents are nice, not too strong, although my girlfriend says the Beard Commander is 'too industrial'. Well, honey, I'm trying to be more manly, it was either that or 10W-30 motor oil.The only thing I have to take care with is to keep it off my mustache, or my lips will start to sting. Thank you, sensitive baby-face-skin.Definitely worth the price, and it only adds a bout a minute to my morning routine.

It was very awesome of the company to resolve the problem like that
The product was a gift for my fiance. It arrived quickly in a neat little cardboard box. Unfortunately one of the lids of the bottles was not completely tightened so some of the oil had leaked out. Because the box was wrapped in plastic, luckily the leaked oil was contained in the plastic and did not get on anything else. I contacted the company to let them know of the possible manufacturing glitch but did not request a return because I didn't think we lost enough oil and I didn't want to have to send it all back. The company was quick to reply to my email and offered to send me a new gift pack, free of charge, and I didn't have to make a trip to the post office to send the original one back! The new package arrived quickly and without any leaks! It was very awesome of the company to resolve the problem like that.As for the product itself, here are my fiance's thoughts:Packaging: 4 stars / Well presentedThe Oils: 5 stars / The oil does it's job and lasts most of the day. I usually apply it around 6am and the beard is going strong when I get off work at 5pm.Variety: 4 stars / My favorite oil is the 'Beard Commander'. I'm not a fan of the 'Cool Mint'. I think it makes my beard smell like gum, but that's just my personal opinion. This four pack is excellent if you're a new customer and are unsure of which oil to start out with.Application: 3 stars / My one con or request would be to have the applicator caps on the bottles allow for more flow. It takes me about 10 to 12 shakes to get the amount of oil out I use, which is about the size of a quarter. (Don't let this part deter you. If this is truly a set back for some, the plastic applicator caps can be easily popped out with a small flat head screw driver to allow for pure limitless oil flow to supply your beard. Just sayin.)Overall, I give this product a 4.5 star rating. Their oils seem top notch, they have good variety, and their customer service is excellent! Though their applicator cap could use a little tweaking.

Great Value -- Dubious Aromas
So there are some things to absolutely love about Duck Butter Beard Oil, and a few things that might make you think twice.Loves: 1) The VALUE. I bet you won't find a better value per ounce. I've seen 2oz bottles of beard oil sell for more than this entire set. Is the other stuff that much better? I doubt it.2) The oil itself. As far as functionality goes, this might be my second favorite beard oil (Cremo = #1). That's pretty high praise as I've tried out several brands and Cremo just happens to be exceptional (but more expensive). Duck Butter helps control beard dandruff and itch while making your beard softer and more manageable. It does not make your beard shiny, which might be a bonus for some, detractor for others. What's not to like? Well, the aromas are dubious at best. This will be very much an individual exercise for everyone and their family/loved ones, but scratch and sniff sticker samples would be great. I'd be very surprised if anyone could do a blind sniff test and identify which one was "Forest Ranger" on their first try. The aromas just aren't distinct enough. One, "Metro Spice" has found its way into our trash bin after the family got in the car and everyone wondered aloud, "What smells like fresh TIRES?!" They're right. It smacks very strongly of petroleum. Yeesh. The other three are passable and my wife actually likes "Beard Commander", so that one's a win.Overall, I hope the dudes at Duck Butter rework the "Metro Spice" aroma, or just replace it with something that doesn't smell like you just did 12 oil changes. Outside of that, even if you chuck "Metro Spice", it's still a great value.

Five Stars
Love this beard oil. I always try to buy some when it is available. The company obviously listens to their customers. I and several other customers who have left reviews had said in the past that the packaging caused one of their bottles to break or leak, thus losing 25% of the product. The last set I bought had foam packaging instead of the cardboard packing that it had previously. The foam packing held the bottles securely. I love this beard oil. Even though I have three full bottles left, I am going to go ahead and order more just to have on hand.

Good conditioner, good value, weak scent
The oils do a good job of conditioning my beard and are not to greasy, so that's a big positive. However, the scents are not great and tend to evaporate pretty quickly. I'd prefer a scent that lasted all day.Cool mint: does what it says on the tin, smells like a candy cane for about an hour then the smell fades to nothing (perhaps I'll save this one for Christmas time).Forrest Ranger: my favourite of the set, a pleasant woody scent as you'd expect from the name. Unfortunately the scent doesn't have much staying power.Beard commander: smells like cloves.Metro spice: somewhere between cool mint and beard commander, it's a pleasant combination and is what I expected the cool mint to smell like as opposed to the strong candy cane smell it has.Overall I think this is pretty good value for money and it's a good place to start if you're not sure what sort of scents you like as there is a decent range presented. Not to mention that it does a good job of conditioning the ol' chin strap. However, the lack of staying power in the scents is a big negative for me, I like my beard oil to act as a sort of cologne, making me smell like I've been working in a woodshop or hauling lumber.

A good variety of beard lubes.
Some fun beard oils in this pack. I'm quite new to beard growing and male grooming and stuff, but to my nose these oils have quite different and distinctive aromas. I think I like Beard Commander best at the moment, though my wife likes the Forest Ranger most. Variety is good. I haven't found the oil yet that has the smell that is going to be most in tune with my body chemistry and I'm going to want wafting under my nose all day. When I do, that will get a 5 star review. For now, this is a pleasant and diverse collection at a sensible price and definitely merits 4 stars.

All smell the same. Really low quality oil.
Not impressed.Very fiddly bottles to extract oil from, lots of shaking. They all basically smell the same and not that pleasant, overly musky and no highlights to to the scents, very generic. The scent does not last, fades after maybe 20 minutes.Did not make my beard feel soft or conditioned. Compared to other oils I’ve used, these are really low quality. Feel quite watery and cheap.Would not recommend to anyone.

Really good value for money.
I'm really impressed with these oils.I have quite a long beard, been rather dry lately with the products I normally use, I decided to buy duckbutter because the box set was quite good quantity for the price, the scents are pleasant, works wonders on my beard, and the excess I have left on my hands does amazing things for my long curly hair.I surf a lot and these oils really do protect my facial and head hair before going out into the salty water.

Very good value for the price.
One word that comes to mind here is THICK. This oil is thick in comparison to the many I have tried, this is usually is a good sign. Anyway the scents out of the bottle all smell the same aside from the minty one but they do gain their own character after a few minutes, subtle but for me beard oils and balms are all about nourishing and maintaining healthy hair and skin on my face. To this it does it job really well and has premium ingredients. Definitely recommended.
