These are excellent. they hold far more compost than I expected.

They are completely unsuitable for growing many seeds apart from possibly beans. They are ridiculously tall and would probably fall over even half filled.

You get 200 of these little growing bags. They are excellent quality and are exactly as pictured. Will be really handy next year when I start growing seedlings. In the description it says that you can start your plants off in them and there is no need to take the seedling out when you want to pot it on as the bag is biodegradable. Unfortunately I can't test this at the moment as it's not the right time of year to grow seedings. They look good so I'm hopeful but if for any reason they don't work I update my review later.

I will be using these for sowing broad beans, peas and courgettes next spring.They give the advantage that they look much less likely to fall apart than the cardboard toilet roll tubes I previously used but the small plants can still be transplanted directly without repotting or disturbing the roots. Once filled with earth they stand upright well.I ordered size small which when filled with earth take up 5cm * 5cm width and depth which is a bit more room than I previously gave my seedlings and I would probably have preferred more height but less width and depth to get more plants per tray.I think these bags are a great convenience for starting larger vegetable seeds.
