Sturdy valve, lightweight, A new riding experience
I installed the tubes in new wheels, rim strips and new tires. The installation was simple. The metal valve fit well and feels sturdy. At the base of the valve is a small plastic reinforcement disc that fits into the hole for the valve stem. I would caution the use of frame pumps that attach directly to the Presta valve without a flexible hose. this is a common cause of failure on Presta valves on any tubes. The light weight of the tubes is very noticeable. I noted it uses less effort to pedal my bicycle. I feel that for my riding style this lightweight tube is far easier than using a tubeless set up. The tubes hold air without issue. I believe this product to be a time saver because the regular (non tubeless) tires are easy to mount and fiddling with sloppy sealant on a bike tour is arduous. I will use this TPU set up going forward. TPU tubes.... 🤩

Better than the pink TPU tubes
I'm very happy with TPU tubes for the performance they deliver. My first time with TPU was another brand that was noticably lighter and thinner. I got a fair amount of flats so tried these that were slightly heavier. You can feel they are much thicker and hopefully more flat resistant. Been riding couple months now and so far so good. I don't feel any weight penalty over the lighter pink tubes. In general patching TPU tubes are the downside to deal with. I found a permanent fix that has been working great for me. Cut up an old TPU tube for patches. Use loctite vinyl, cloth & plastic glue. This is a flexible glue. I've done 3 patches and none have leaked for few months. I haven't had to patch these yellow tubes so my recipe is not tested on these new tubes yet .

Defective tube causes dangerous blowout
Thinvik road tubes are dangerous, particularly for larger tire sizes in the recommended range. As others have shown here, the overlapped joint does not expand properly, causing the adjacent ends to bulge into the empty space where they may blow out suddenly. The photo shows two inflated tubes with the overlapped joint restriction and a third tube in which the adjacent end has blown out suddenly. I am riding gatorskin 700x32c road tires and installed the Thinvik road tubes specified for 18 to 32 mm tires. I ride every other day, running the rear at 61 psi and front 58 psi. The Thinvik tubes would lose 8 to 11 psi over two days. The front tube was replaced after a puncture by a ~3/8 inch thorn. The new front tube was installed and the first ride was uneventful. When pumping up for the second ride I found the tube had lost 40 psi over two days. I removed the tube, checked for leaks, and replaced it. After 16 miles, the front tube suddenly blew out with a loud pop. This tube is shown in the photo. Fortunately, I was at the top of a hill (and within 100 m of a bike shop) riding slowly in a straight line. The adjacent ends bulged into the empty joint space where they blew out instantly without warning. If this tube had blown out at high speed or in a corner it could have caused a crash. I installed a butyl tube in the front but continued riding the Thinvik tube in the rear. After 340 miles, the tube lost 37 psi over two days and I immediately installed a butyl tube. The joint in this tube is shown in the photo. This problem MIGHT be less serious for smaller tire sizes with less tube expansion? Also, this is not an issue for all tpu tubes, I have used one Bibike 18-32c mm tube and it showed reasonably uniform expansion.

Excellent tubes, strong valves and good performance and comes with patches
This review is specific to cross-country mountain bike use, in the Colombian Andes, and this comparative review has been left for the four brands I tried. I've been experimenting with different brands of TPU tubes for the last six months, out of curiosity. Firstly, the upside of TPU tubes, over regular butyl tubes, is more than I expected, with the considerable weight saving around the rims making a noticable difference to the ride feel, plus the extra weight saving of not having to carry a butyl spare. The downside of the TPUs is the reliability of the tubes and the valves. I have purchased four different brands: RideNow (pink - $), Spingo (turquoise - $$), ThinVik (yellow - $$) and TuboLito (orange - $$$$) and I always ensured I got the MTB versions. I ride at around 20-22 psi but I always inflate to 50 to seat the tyre correctly before reducing. I started with a RideNow tube at the rear and a Spingo up front. The RideNow tube, which is the cheapest, lightest and thinnest of the four brands, failed over night even prior to riding it. I immediately binned it and never used the 2nd tube that came in the pack. I replaced it with another Spingo, with which I have had enough success to warrant purchasing more. I've gotten through 3 or 4 of these over the months, some lasting longer than others. All of them have eventually had small piercing punctures, but no pinch-flats, which was the most frequent cause of flats with butyl tubes for me. The plastic valves, however, are very delicate and I managed to snap two just removing the pump head. I also tried the really expensive TuboLito MTB tubes, at a whopping $27 each, thinking that they must be better, right? They certainly are thicker than the others and they feel sturdy, but I've gotten through three of them, all getting punctures, and they did not perform any better than the Spingos at less than half the price. My final attempt was with ThinVik, which I tried primarily because they have a metal valve and a nice metal cap. So far these have been the best performing tubes of the four and have lasted the longest. I have had punctures but they come with TPU patches which seem to work well. The only issue I had was with one tube that ballooned in one spot on the 5 psi pre-installation-inflation which caused a bump in the tyre so I had to bin it. It's been an expensive experiment but I'm pleased with the result. My recommendation out of these four brands, therefore, is the yellow ThinViks. I have left this same review under each of the 4 brands mentioned here. Happy trails!

軽いです!ブチルゴムの物から80g、2本で160gの軽量化。 ブチルゴムと違い低温で抵抗が増えないのも良いです。

I've had these tubes on the bike for a few months now and they've been very good. I need to pump up the tyres every two/three weeks, but considering how thin they are, I'm very impressed. They are noticeably light and you can feel the difference when accelerating. No punctures, but that's probably just down to luck. All in all, for this price I'm delighted. N.B. they are very thin so you need to be careful when fitting so be patient, have a cup of tea and be gentle!
