Is it same as bosal fusible foam

Bosal is quite rigid and can be used for making fabric baskets as well as in bags where a stiff finish is wanted. H640 is softer and can also be used in bags and other items where a softer finish is needed.

Could you use this to make a warm layer in a jacket?

Not sure what degree of warmth this would give but I guess it would provide some insulation if sewn between two layers of fabric for a jacket. I personally used it while making padded book bags.

Can the fabric be doubled up for a thicker layer?

Hello Yes it could although it is only fusible on one side and is a reasonable thickness. it is a volume fleece designed to give body without bulk. Doubling it up would be ok., hope this helps, Kim

I can't get this to fuse I’m using damp cloth and 15 sec it isn’t fusing any advice plse

With your fabric right side up place the H640 underneath that with the rough side of the H640 facing up so that the the rougher side that is the adhesive side is facing the wrong side of the fabric you are using and the use a steam iron to gently glide over the right side of your fabric holding it for a few seconds and it should stick. I've always done it like this and have had no problems whatsoever. It is fabulous stuff. If that fails then it may be worth contacting the company you purchased off as it might be a dodgy batch.
