Pretty tough stuff! Bought this for my son's escooter 3 years ago and held up pretty good, if not for an attempted theft that happened recently. My son forgot to charge his scooter and it died on the way to school. Rather than lug it the 2 miles to school, he locked it around the nearest lightpole. When we came back for it later that night, it looked like someone 1st tried to cut the lock, when that didn't work, they tried to melt it. Despite all that, the lock remained intact and my son, after a couple minutes, was able to unlock it. It still works but I bought him a new one anyway.

High quality product. Only thing of note is that the included clip to install on the scooter is not compatible with the KS4 Pro scooter. The handlebars are too narrow for the mount to attach and not spin freely.

I just hook it onto the scooter handle for easy access.

not all handlebars are the same. I bought this before I made a final decision on an electric scooter, and ended up going with a scooter of another brand. I had hoped it would be somewhat universal, since hiboy has so many different models and such- it's not.When I realized my scooter handlebar was too thick for the little mount, I thought I might be able to use the mount on my bicycle, but nope. So the mount may only fit the Hiboy brand, but the lock and the whole design is just still really cool. I do still plan to use the lock, I just have to throw it in a little bag when I do.

It was easy to change the passcode. Fits the HiBoy S2 nicely. Son loves it!

After the second use, lock stopped working. We had to cut it to release the scooter.I have to buy a new lock.

I've purchased and used many of these combination cable bike locks over the years for a fleet of bikes in a rental house. We need something that deters basic smash-and-grab theft, and this lock will do the job. None of these will stand up to a determined thief with bolt cutters, but that's not what we're solving for.For this lock, what was important for me is 1) the combo is customizable, 2) there's 4 dials (not 5 which is just silly), 3) the dials rotate smoothly. At 3.3 feet it's not going to work through multiple bikes or around both wheels, but that also makes it small and convenient, and I think that's ok for my intended use-case.
