Very sharp, easy open/close one handed, feels quality, D2 holding edge one month out
I never know if knives are gonna be actually the steel a list but this really does seem like D2 steel it’s really holding the edge well. It is the sharpest knife I’ve ever bought under $50. It was definitely hair shaving sharp when it arrived. I usually sharpen knives when they come in this one. I didn’t even have to touch Action was a little gritty from the factory, I took out the single screw to access the pivot mechanism, I was quite pleased to find out that it had dual sided ball bearings. I wiped out the dirty grease and put it back together (getting it lined up and back together was slightly harder than I anticipated), and now it’s buttery smooth with no grit. It opens very easily with the finger flipper with a satisfying positive motion and locks up nicely. I’m not sure what the finish is on the knife blade, but I actually really like it. It’s wearing really well, that is to say not at all after using it for a month. Also, it really has maintained its sharpness after a month of use. Probably not hair shaving sharp now, but still very sharp and holding probably better than my VG 10 spyderco. I personally prefer a blade down clip, but this one goes into the pants and out easily, and I find I can get it out, open, closed, back with one hand with ease. Great knife for the money, I anticipate years of service.

Great knife
This knife is great for the price. It's a tip down, left pocket carry. Which I like when I'm carrying my 9mm on my right side. The knife is dead centered, came well lubricated, sharp, great detent, strong clip. D2 Blade and G10 Handle. The finger choil is perfect size for large hands. Flipper works fine, a little tight but will losen with time. Overall I say it's the best $10.00 I've spent in a long time. Heck, a fast food burger is that much now a days. Just buy it , especially if you have Prime. Free shipping and returns. Excellent.

I am very impressed with Customer Service.
The knife looks good. The liner lock was way too stiff. It was very difficult to close the blade due to the stiff liner lock. This could cause the user to cut their hand accidentally. The price was very attractive and so was the knife. I really wanted to like this knife. Unfortunately, the stiff liner lock caused me to return the product for a refund. The customer service people were very helpful. Even though I sent the original knife back for a refund. Customer service sent me a new knife. Unfortunately, this replacement knife locked up and I was unable to close the knife with my thumb. I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to unlock the blade. This knife was totally not usable. Customer service was excellent. They sent me another replacement knife. This knife is much better and very usable. The liner lock works but is still a bit stiff. This knife is usable. I am a knife collector. This knife doesn't stack up with my other knives as far as quality is concerned. It is basically a decent beater knife for me. I am using it in my wood shop as a tool. I am now somewhat happy with the knife. I am very impressed with Customer Service. They tried very hard to make me happy.

A Problem Solved Quickly, Professionally and Respectfully!
Let me begin by saying that that this a very nice knife. However, one week after purchase I accidentally dropped it on the floor and a screw in the handle popped out causing the scales on the sides to start moving affecting the grip. Very surprised at this failure from such a minor drop. Makes me worried about long term durability. Am in contact with Barrysail customer service about the problem, will update when I have matter resolved. Follow up: So, on a Friday morning I sent a message to Customer Service. They replied late Friday PM asking for a pix of the problem and my order number. Over the weekend I sent them the data. On Monday morning I was advised by CS that they were going to replace my knife, free of charge. On Wednesday PM, the replacement knife was on my doorstep! Major compliments to Patti in CS. Note: it took me some work but I was able to determine that the tiny screws in the knife require a 6mm T6 Torx key to extract. The screws also are a metric thread about 2mm long. This is a very nice knife, good jimping, finger cutout at the base of the blade for control, nice looking, D2 steel and sharp out of the box. Definitely recommend and excellent customer service.

A Collector's New Favorite — Shockingly Good!
As someone with a collection of knives, I was genuinely blown away by the quality of this one. It's way better than I was expecting and has quickly become one of my favorites. The action is incredibly quick and smooth for a manual-open knife (no spring assist, which is a big plus for me). It closes just as smoothly. The overall build is solid, the blade came impressively sharp right out of the box, and it looks fantastic. You can feel the quality. This is an easy 5-star recommendation.

Had an issue with the belt clip but they made it right
I just bought this knife back in october. I really liked everything about it until I noticed a couple days ago that the belt clip broke and now doesn't secure the knife well in my pocket. If you would send me another one that isn't broken I would appreciate it or even just the clip and I can put the new one on myself. For now I'm afraid to use it for fear that I might lose it. Fast forward a couple days and I decided to reach out to Amazon to see if they could help me and I chatted with them and they put me in contact with the manufacturer who is sending me a new knife. Great customer service

Barrysail pocket knife is ultra sharp, D2 Steel, had one for years and worth getting again
My Barrysail rides with me in my front pocket everywhere. Opens easily with the assist function. Closes equally as well. Don't leave home without one! Perfect size and shaped blade.
