A brilliant lead, super comfortable handle that has just the right amount of play when you place it on the wrist. Not to tight that it feels restrictive, but not to loos that you feel it will slip off. The soft padding on the handle makes for a pleasant experience when walking.The rope construction of the lead is also exceptional, super light, but super strong. Yes, I tested it by swinging on it from a branch, hey I'm a big kid at heart. It also has a slight amount of stretch in the rope which allows for some cushioning when your dog pulls.The extra part of the lead which has the control handle is a great idea. We are lucky where we walk the dog, in that she can be off the lead for most of it, but we do have to cross one very busy country road, and this extension to the lead makes for a far more safer feel when crossing the road.The addition of a reflective element to both part of lead is also a nice touch.All in all, this is an exceptional lead with some nice touches, it's the first lead I have used that combines everything that I am looking for in a lead.EDITI have been using this lead for almost a year. it's my favourite lead, still looking good after thousands of hours use, in fact this lead is so good I go in a bad mood when a certain someone uses it and then leaves it in the car, leaving me to use one of our back up leads

I bought this lead as we are required to walk dogs on a lead in some areas now. My dog is a German shepherd cross and very strong. I found this lead to be strong and comfortable the extension lead absorbs some of the pull on the lead and makes it easier for her to be walked comfortably. It is made of tough material and is also a nice looking lead striking orange and black. It arrives in a nice bag to store it in . It arrived early.i am pleased with the purchase .. thanks Roz

This is a really useful lead - it is great to be able to use both sections to have it as long as possible when walking somewhere with space, but shorten it down to the rope section when walking near a busy road or another area where I want as much control as possible. I was worried about it being quite heavy at first, but my dog doesn't seem to notice/care. The only negative about it is that the elastic on the inside broke very quickly (within two or three uses), but the lead is still useable so it doesn't matter too much, but it does mean that there is no shock absorption any more.

I bought the Barkswell Premium 3-in1 Strong Dog lead mainly for the elasticated section to use with our retractable dog lead, however I have been using the Barkswell lead without the elasticated part as it’s a bit heavy at the moment for our 20week old Cocker Spaniel puppy. The lead seems to be well made and has some nice features such as the grab handle on the elasticated section for close control of the dog.Initially I gave the lead a 5 star review, however the elasticated part has failed after only a few weeks and a matter of days after the Amazon return window has closed. Our Cocker Spaniel puppy (now 6 months old) doesn't pull that much for the elastic to fail so soon. The upper section of the lead is fine and holding up well, but it was the elasticated part that I originally bought the lead for...

I love Barkswell leads :) :) they are well made and arrive on time. I have previously bought the Barkswell hands free belt with attached lead for jogging which is fab and my dog runs along side me nicely :) I wanted to take my other dog jogging too but he doesn't quite run along side so I bought this lead to slip the handle through the belt on the opposite side, with it being slightly longer and bungy end it stops him jerking me whilst running and allows him a faster pace than I can give so win win :) :) thanks Barkswell :)

Really good lead. Love that we can attach the bungee section to our own lead and we now have an excellent spare lead to go with it. Comfortable handle and seems really heavy duty. We have a cocker spaniel but our friends have all commented that it seems really strong so if anyone is consider it for a larger breed I think you’d be happy with the quality. Couldn’t believe the speed of delivery. Ordered it in the morning it arrived at 7pm in the same evening. Best delivery service I’ve ever experienced. Thank you!

First lead I’ve purchased that I really like, I use it doubled up so it’s always short (3.5 ft) and I always have a handle near his collar for when it’s needed.Only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is I would like a clip on both ends of the lead that has the elastic.

Didn't work for my dog but was too be expected really she is awkward bless her lol I thought the stretch in this would work well but for us it didn't our dog is very strong but delivery was on time it is very well made and may work for a slightly smaller dog
