Great Looking Monster Truck - A Little Tricky to Operate
Our son has been introducing our 3 year old grandkids to RC cars, so I decided to add some to our vehicle collection since the kiddos are at my house during the week. My grandson loves monster trucks so I ordered this GMAXT RC Truck without noticing the 6+ age recommendation. Sometimes age recommendations don't mean much, but this RC truck really is too much for my grandson, so I've put it away until he's older. My husband and I played with it a little, and while the plastic feels kind of flimsy, the truck still feels kind of beefy and pretty darn cool. The monster design is well done, and the big wheels feel sturdy. For a super-novice like myself, the remote seems kind of tricky. It truck comes with rechargeable batteries but I'm disappointed that the remote takes regular batteries. With 3 little kids around, batteries are an expensive commodity. Overall, I think this would make a great gift for any truck loving child age 6 and over who either has experience with RC vehicles or has patience and doesn't get frustrated easily.

Great for first-time users
As with most lower priced remote control vehicles you kinda get what you pay for. At around $25 this vehicle delivers pretty good performance. No, it's doesn't do acrobatic stunts or fancy maneuvers but it does perform basic turns and straight-aways and some off-road travels. So, it's a perfect as a gift for the first remote control vehicle user. Just remember battery life is always going to be an issue with most remote vehicles, so have the spare in the charger because you're going to need it.

did not last
Unfortunately this did not last long. Its a great toy but just not durable enough. I would say best for inside use and not really for outside.

Fun, hard to steer, frustrating for younger kids
This truck is fun and doesn't get stuck on our carpet like some other lower race car style RC toys we have. Two batteries included for the truck but no batteries for the remote control. The controls are basic (twin sticks) but it can be difficult to get the truck to drive straight or turn as each joystick controls its respective half of the truck. There's no sensory /speed settings or anything so it jumps and turns so crazy fast, making it impossible to steer. It unintentionally flips over quite often, like every few seconds, and needs to be manually flipped upright again. This is fun and wild for the first few minutes but could be extremely frustrating for longer playtimes or kids trying to "get it right"

Compact and speedy
This monster truck shows its fangs as it flies along. You have to have both hands for the remote to make it move in a straight line, otherwise, it spins in circles. I was testing this out on my bed and putting different blanket and pillow obstacles in the way. It was able to handle most of them.
