Very well made
I bought this to use with a craft project with my grandchildren. We made pothead planters and used it for the arms and legs, using two inch pots. I wanted something that could get wet and not rot away while being outside. It worked great.I also will use it to try to water my African Violets, however, I haven't done that yet.

Its just very expensive cotton cording!
It did not work at all. I went online and followed several different instructions-wrapped the cording around the plant base and hung at differing heights from water container. The cord would dry out between the container and the plant-no wicking whatsoever. Save your money and buy the watering crystals which are sprinkled in the soil and expand to hold more moisture!

Great for indoor plants. Waste of time for outdoor.
Works but not how I need it to work

My plants were still alive after my 3 week absence.
I have a fair number of house plants. When I used the Self Watering Wick Cord, I grouped them together and ran cords from a large bucket of water to each individual plant. I put the bucket on a stand that was higher than the plants. The cords floated in the water, so I loosely tied them together and weighed them down with a stone. It was a considerable effort, but when I returned home after an almost 3 week trip, the plants had survived. The cords are reusable, so that's a plus.

Wick cord works very well
This self watering wick cord works very well for my African Violets. The extra thickness guarantees more water absorption and just the right amount of water into your pot and plant. In my experience, this is the cording to buy for wick watering.

Make your own self watering planters, grow a green thumb!
This is great material to make your own self watering planter, better than shoe laces or other cotton ropes because it’s plump and absorbs and disperses the water. Love it!

It's Just Cotton Clothesline
You can get 3 or 4 times as much for less money getting cotton clothesline at the hardware store. About $7.99 for 100ft.I thought this was a specialty item. It does works if the water is over the pot. If the water is below the pot it just barely gets the rope damp.

High quality material
Arrived fast. There was a generous amount of high-quality cord. I look forward to using this with small baskets and mason jars to start seeds.
