A great homebrew kit that gives a refreshing pale ale
A great home-brew kit, really easy to make - all you need to add is water. Like other Bulldog kits, the Malt mix is supplied in a double-skinned plastic bag which is really easy to work with and a lot better than the tins that some others use. It's also supplied with two teabags of hops (Centennial and Zeus) which are added a day or two before bottling and give a nice aroma to the brew (the malt mix has already been hopped for bitterness). The first fermentation finished in about 9-10 days and early indications are that it's a nice crisp pale ale with a good dark-gold colour (at least that's how mine's turned out). At about 4%, this is weaker than a lot of the other Bulldog kits - which is a pleasant change as 8% beer can get a bit much quite quickly.

Don't "overhop" !!!
Brewed this as per instructions, left to mature for about four weeks in the barrel,...... result......., very bitter beer,The kit comes supplied with a supplementary pack of hop pellets so you can determine the hoppiness of the beer to your own taste, i put the whole pack in and spoiled the brew.I think it would have been very nice with half the hops instead, i will probably buy and try again.Be careful !!!

still brewing havent had chance to try it,but well happy with how its behaving....have been bought the red cat kit for fathers day...i love my kids

Great APA
Great kit with easy to follow instructions. The hops in a bag idea worked well without any diminution in flavour and I'm now enjoying a lovely APA.
