This dish is the perfect size and shape for an older dog / a picky eater, and for what I received is a great value as well! The height of the lip is perfect for preventing food spilling off the edge like on a plate. It’s a great size to put different types of food on, and Ellie Mae knows it’s HER plate! She loves me putting some TLC into “preparing” her meals, and this plate is the icing on the cake! Very easy to clean, hefty and high quality so you know it’s going to last. The weight also makes it quite stable on different surfaces like hardwood floors and plastic. I’ve already dropped it once and it didn’t break! Hopefully won’t be testing my luck anytime soon! We have an 8-month old puppy who has very little interest in food. We have tried so many different things and changing her bowl (plastic or stainless steel) to a wide, ceramic plate made a BIG difference. I guess she didn’t like her nose stuck in a small bowl. It’s heavy, plenty wide and easy to clean. Works great for our picky eater!!

Great for my German Shepherd's wet food bowl, however it does slide a bit when he trys to get ever drop of his food
