Make your own acoustic panels!
Ideal sound absorption and enough to make three 1200x600mm 200mm deep acoustic panels. Doubling up the 75mm battens to a depth of 150mm then leaving a 50mm air gap to the rear will help tame room-dimension related peaks in an audio listening room. Picture is of panels in first fit, covered in 150gsm calico cotton. In terms of the product, they arrived a little delayed but intact, and as an acoustically rated insulation are perfect as the absorption layer for a panel build like mine. For those that are interested, they seem to give useful absorption from around 100hz up, with less impact at sub-100hz frequencies (for those you will need deeper insulation, perhaps doubled up 100mm battens and/or a significantly deeper rear air gap. My three panels in total cost around £100 including 18mm MDF for the framing, and the cotton covering. Not perhaps the prettiest but these things never are, and if you are serious about treating a room you'll know that depth and area are important: the more of either the better!

Brilliant product but needs cutting to size..
Great product, used in loft renovation but often needs cutting to size (ensure you purchase correct cutting knife / tool). Use a decent mask as fibres tend to break free when cutting..

Nothing to complain. First of all the product was delivered 5 days early than usual. Did the job. Nice one.

NOT what the product described
I purchased this item based upon the description only to discover that it certainly did not meet the expectations of the description. I was led to believe these were slabs with some degree of rigidity to them. This was not at all the case - they were extremely floppy with no capacity to stand upright without lots of support. As a result of this I had to seriously modify my plans in building a recording studio. It was extremely annoying as I had opened up the product and partly put my build into action before fully realising the problem so felt unable to pack it up and send in back, not least because I was working to a deadline. I'm sure this stuff is OK if you're using it to insulate a loft, but it's very unfriendly if you're wanting to soundproof walls.

Good whenn
Does the job. I needed a small amount to use for dividing walls and under floors when itching up a house.
